Nice Group. Great with "Ain't no mountain high enough", and "Hooked on a feeling." They even did the Blue Swede version of that song. Swedish bands like American music. Thanks once again to Music123 for great videos!!!!
Les, it feels like "Hooked on a feeling" is more a swedish song now than american. hehe... :D The Blue Swede version is the most known I think. Few know of it's origin. Anyhow, I didn't see that one coming! With "Hooga chacka.." and all! Hehe... :D It was fun.
Very interesting group....which they had stopped and played instead of marching by on Main Street....perhaps by "It's a Small World makes up for it. Thanks for catching both, you were very busy this past weekend, Thanks again.
Hi Paul. I missed that they was participating in the Rose Parade this year. 😁 It was a pleasant surprise to see the Swedish colors on the main street and in the parade. 😊 They did a good job. A friend of mine played in that band many years ago when we were young.
Peter, I also was unaware that this group, that I had heard about, but never actually hear them play, would be in the New Years Festivities. It proves my point that a small band can provide a great full sound, and with the proper instrumentation with quality players.....make listening to them a true pleasure. Thank you. I fondly remember those years "when we were young".....sighhhhhh
Correction: Not a group or theoretically yes but it's actually a music corps from the Swedish Armed Forces. Corps and group may be the same thing but not in this case.
During summers this band plays at the daily changing of the guard ceremony at Stockholm Palace (when its the navy's turn "on guard"). You almost certainly noticed them throw Dancing Queen into this set; this is not uncommon for hear any one of the bands from whichever service "toss it in" (along with a few other such numbers) from time to time.
A fine music organization. The sousaphone line (back row) should have been symmetrical with a brass instrument in the center with fiberglass to its left and right. A minor point but obvious to and parade musician.
I lost it when they started on "Hooked on a feeling". This is precious!

@@Ebhen1 Blue Swede's version "Oga Chacka" as a startup to hooked on a feeling, is much more fun than B. J. Thomas'.
You're welcome. This was definitely a treat. Nice group of young talented performers under fantastic staff.
Beautiful 👍🏻
Thank you, Sweden! Thank you.
Varsågod! 😊

Thanks Paul. Indeed I was and still am! All well worth it though. All these Rose Parade groups are wonderful to watch. Always different every year.

no this band does not play at the changing of the guard enymore
@@mansappelgren8182 Thanks for the correction. Did see them perform at a changing of the guard a few years back, wasn't aware of the change.
