I have taken a step back on social media myself. I run my UA-cam channel and post my shows but other than that, I stay off. It’s not good for mental health
The worst thing about social media is that when you look for something once for any reason, it forces that s*** down your throat for months every time you look on your search feed. Like for example, when you click on a WWE or AEW video once, you get bombarded with that stuff forever as if there weren`t any wrestling products out there that are actually good.

I’m the biggest loser I know to many people but boy oh boy, ever since I got rid of all social media, no text messaging, and only engage in face it face contact or phone calls, life is so much better. Giving it away means getting your freedom back.
June 26th was the last social media post I made. I am also 10 weeks clean today from the News!

To be honest, I can't stand to see videos that people I went to high school with make of their kids doing stupid crap. Or seeing posts of whatever political crap those people are in to. The only "social media" I have is UA-cam.

UA-cam's technically a video hosting site not social media, just so everyone knows.
Good for you, Stevie. I'm self-employed and manage to produce work and earn revenue with little-to-no social media use. I've personally never had a social media account (unless you count YT for commenting). I actually get overwhelmed at the thought of having such accounts or being in that claustrophobic microcosm.

I only have Facebook. And I deleted all friends like a year ago and all I have is recipes, bible, and motivational stuff. So my Facebook is literally a book of what I wanna see, not ppls Shit

I quit social media for most of 2018. The only downside is that my family is scattered across the globe and not all use the same platforms so when you leave one, you cut off all communication with them. That year, a relative passed away. I knew because I had added his son on WhatsApp, so he informed me. Had I not done that, I wouldn't have known, not to mention telling the other relatives.
I'm planning to quit again, but I need to be more careful this time.

I mean if ur one of the people who are older, tired of social media, and you only use it to promote a business, there’s literally “apps for that” now. Promoting a business online and/or on social media is yet another thing humans are no longer needed for. If you want, anyone can be completely done with social media.

I have a daily limit of 30 minutes on ALL social media including UA-cam and I also have a daily limit of only accepting 3 phonecalls a day and making 3 phonecalls as day. People hate that I sometimes don't answer my phone or respond to texts but I've made it clear there's a 30 minute morning window while I'm having coffee if you dont catch me during that window then tough luck try again tomorrow.
You don't make any money on there.I guarantee they stay on patron,an UA-cam cause that's where the money is.
