ATTENTION! Many have been brining it to my attention not just here in the comments but on Instagram as well. I did it wrong so with that said use a wire loom and make sure it’s not rubbing against metal, use a fuse inline if you can find them local for cheap or a stereo 90amp I would recommend, make sure to use proper crimp tool not vice grips. The methods i used never failed me in any of my other setups i have done but the wire rubbing the metal was indeed something that needed attention and HAS been fixed. Thank you for all your concerns everyone. There are important parts I didn’t think about. The fuse isn’t necessarily needed since it’s fuse protected but it’s not a bad idea. God bless!

I think honda did it wrong with there relocation to the middle of the cockpit basically on the ground inside the middle compartment. I'm like where is the battery on this hybrid 🤔🧐 company 🤥 🤭🙄

Heck ya they really are awesome! Definitely recommend using a wire loom over the power wire and make sure it’s not gonna rub the metal and short out many people have voiced their opinions on it so have to mention it. I have fixed that issue but still just gonna say that. Lol

Might be a chance the power wire could rub through on the battery box. Might put some rubber hose over that particular part
Good point. I think i might do a wire loom over it.
I was thinking the same thing. U could also get a couple of those cable clamp holders and screw them into the chassis and route the cable off the relocation mount kit.
@@CP_FPV I did zip tie it up out of the way more but I’m going to get some of that wire loom

Looks like it really cleared up a lot of space in there for you. It really looks good standing from the front looking inside the bay. This is going to be one sick build when it "done" but we know a car is never really done. 😂

Thought about relocating mine to the trunk or adding a secondary in the trunk n having the alternator beefed up some
I have done so many trunk relocations and i didn't want to do it again. My biggest problem was the length of wire and it had to be the right gauge wire or it would slow crank. Never had charge issues but the wire size and what not made it a pain. This kit works so effortless its so nice! I am SOLD on them!
@@TexasHondaChannel yeah they lppl good but ever have that tire blow out it can get expensive quick. Iv done a few battery relocates as well usually go get welding lead wire. It's heavy gauge never had issues with it. Right now since not been driving the car my battery just drains down every few days so gotta try n find whats draining it down which is gonna be a pain I'm sure. But if I run 2nd battery beefing up the alternator will just help it charge the 2 batteries n not over work it
@@GlassWerx I know of plenty of people who have had these relocation kits and never had a issue like that. It’s the what if that keeps people from having fun or doing things. I won’t let he what if keep me down lol but I get what you are saying

I like that kit but the only thing I would change is adding a inline fuse like a audio fuse just incase the power wire was to rub while driving around. Other than that it’s a clean set up for sure👌🏾
The main fuse will pop if there is a any issue but that’s not a bad idea for sure!
@@TexasHondaChannel whenever I do a battery relocation to the trunk I usually add in a inline fuse for safe measure. The further the distance it’s always recommended!
@@BoostedDc4 I always use them too but the battery is so close to the fuse box but if the wiring is too long I definitely do. EVERY single battery relocate I ever did to the trunk has had a inline fuse but again that’s much longer wiring and a lot can happen between the battery and the fuse box.
I did the same and I have a cel and my scanner won’t read it and the car cranks but no start

How would you jump the car in case of a dead battery here?
Was thinking same! Thinking he has to take bumper out again but he has the quick release so won’t be nothing for him
@@josecunsako31 still a pain in the ass. You still need to attach the bottom a clips to the splash guard every time the bumper is removed. I'd never do this unless there was some way to easily jump from the hood
@@conyey I’m pretty sure there’s a way just have to look into it! I have not since I don’t know if I want to relocate mine or not.. but it’s in the air
There are ways around it, you could wire a positive terminal into the engine bay for easy access, believe they are called remote terminal

Not 100% sure but the 2 vehicles are very close in design.

It is thin but it’s pretty sturdy for sure I will let everyone know if it don’t hold up that’s for sure but I’m confident it will hold up.
Oof, Im not a fan of how you crimped those battery terminals. You need to use an actual crimper, not pliers. Crimps like that usually do not hold
Haha the vice grip method has never failed me i crimp them really really really tight. I don’t have fancy crimps lol 😂 I have done soooo many cars this way and I always do a “yank” test and if it comes off I do it again but only had 1 yank for in the many I did. Trust me it’s super tight and heat shrink plus electrical tape holding it pretty good too. If it fails I will blow the fuse lol 😂

You were going to have a fire or electrical issues you cannot leave the power wire resting on that sharp piece of metal or up against the radiator
PS I do 12 volt electrical for the last 26 years
Good thing we have fuses but either way i did reroute the wire and it’s getting a loom so it will be okay now. Thanks for your input
