Ordered mine a few hours ago. Should arrive in two days. My first one so I decided to go with this model as I found it for $799. After I understand how to use it more I will be customizing and ordering an M2 pro
I’m so confused if I should get the M2 rather than the M1 bc I need a laptop for uni next yr but I’ll be studying for 5 yrs so idk if it’s worth getting the M1 and perhaps having issues down the line , should I rather just get the newer model and then not worry about needing to upgrade in those yrs? Also I don’t need the extra specs of the M2 so rn it’s definitely not worth the extra money, If anyone has any options pls lmk ;)
as far as I know, the baseline m2 macbook air 2022 can have a slightly worse performance long term than the macbook air m1 2020 baseline. this is because if the double ssd chip in the macbook air m1 2020, that the m2 2022 version lacks. I have had the exact same thought over the last couple of days because i also need a new mac for my studies, and I have landed on the m1 2020 macbook air because of the ssd chips. although if you have the budget for it, the macbook air m2 2022, with 512gb storage is better (contains the double chip ssd that the 256gb version lacks). But for my use in uni i have, as i said, landed on the macbook air m1 2020 with 256gb storage :) hope that was clear hahah
Just get the m1, it will deffo last you during uni atleast, I see many people using macs from 2010-2015 still working great, if you don’t need the extra specs just get m1

I am gonna ask for one for Christmas but idk they are pricey but I wonder if I chip in 200 dollars it would be easier the only problem would be my school has its own little system so it would be hard for me to use it since I am in 8th but high school would be easier or I can ask for it for my birthday which is in September

I’m not a fan of gold/rose gold color on laptops :(( i like how space grey and silver grey look so sleek and elegant especially on apple products 🤍 I really can’t convince myself to like rose gold, my friends also told me to get rose gold but I just don’t like it. At first it’s quite nice but when you look at it for quite some time idkkk. Idk for some but this is just my opinion. 💗
I would say yes!, I wanted the iPad mini 6 first but then my cousin (ends college) she used the exact MacBook so she don’t use it anymore I ask her if I can use it for little and BOOM that changed my whole like and YES BUY ITTT
cool video!!!! i got my macbook pro m1 a month ago and im just watching because i got recommended this video. i was going to get a m1 macbook air because in my country we have a legitimate website that u can get things for free just with points and in other places like gas stations u can get free points and get a macbook air without spending real money but then i got a pro with mid spec. we also didnt get any accessories because apple recommends you not to use webcam covers cause the screen cracks and i didnt use case because to me it looked ugly and i had a case before but it loosens your lid hinge. i had a case on my iphone but took it off. i also did not get any keyboard covers or screen protectors or trackpad protector
