@DnDBeyond that was a great one. Obviously it's easier for episodic adventurers or oneshots, but the chapter/dungeon breakdowns for a long campaign would be amazing!
I think it would be great to get more of these. This was really good insight into the adventureture. Just decided to run it in place of another food-centric adventure I was going to run at Dundracon. I need to figure out if it makes a good one shot for my four hour slot, though. Higher level combats take awhile, and social encounters can take long time too if the party is really into them.
Deborah is the type of creative talent that keeps D&D fresh and nostalgic, such a boon for the game! Looking forward to this and future projects with her!
I just love that this takes place in Daggerford. Ever since the original module for that town came out (long, long ago) - it's been one of my favorite places in ANY fantasy world. Absolute must buy, thank-you, Deborah!
Loved this run-through. Deborah clearly loves the story and that makes the adventure even better. Will definitely consider running this in the future. More of these run-throughs by their writers please.
There is so much inspiration in both the one-shot and this video. Such great DM tips from Deborah and I can't wait to have my group RP with Giant toddlers!
I noticed that the baby talk words match with the Estonian language Manji/mängi - play Ima/ema - mother Soodluus/suudlus - kiss I don't think it's a coincidence
It would be epic to play in Pune of your epic campaigns Deborah. You give such great context in your dm sessions. Well done. Also flavors of the multiverse is really a great book sequel
I believe I'm going to get this and combine it with my highly modified Storm King's Thunder adventure which also blends in some of my custom Underdark themes.
I think this would be a fun adventure to play my goliath path of the giants barbarian with the fire giant foundling background and the fire giants strike and ember of the fire giants feats. I like the whole giant mythology and cultures. Thus is a neat extension of all that with a deeper story. Rarely do adventures feature families and children, which are actually core to our life experiences. So, this is neat, andI like seeing them in the story along with a fire giant that is more than just a martial conquerer.
Sounds fun, but my worry is that we're going to get morally difficult situations where you are murdering toddlers and then the nasty internet arguments that will follow.
It's not that Miss Deborah isn't a fantastic woman & sure she's totally a super babe, there's way more interesting reasons to love her. The damn mind is one of a kind, plus she's comfortable being who she is inside on the outside too. One thing this does to me is fiend for the good Ole days again. I sure do miss playing D&D with my old buddies all day long until we get to a good stopping point for the next session. Hacking and slashing away, backstabbing and apellcasting whilst protecting the healers and weak ass wizards from harm. I never was the best at figuring out what to do or how to get something done that is a massively important trigger for the adventure to continue. Idk I'm an old geek so....whatever.
Well, luckily, there are plenty of modules that deal with the combat focused solutions. There's nothing wrong with that style of play! Some people like combat more, some people social, some people exploration. I like that they are coming out with books and modules that focus on the other pillars so there's pre-written material for every type of play.
@@NuclearNoxi I get your point of view there. I haven't played since the mid to late 90's or so. I've sat in on a few just to see the new materials and to see what it had evolved into since my former playing days which was early 80's - 2000. It actually was interesting seeing how different things have become, and like you mentioned above it's a lot more specialized with so many options from the character builds to style of play. I'm old school e even though I dig the variations and the lifting of mostly all the old restrictions. It's wildly changed overall.
@@yduronerom6380 I get it, there's been a table top revolution in the last decade. A lot of thing changed and the whole industry got bigger. What WotC is focusing on right not be up your alley, but with all the new games out there, I'd recommend looking into some OSR games. Other people have missed the old school feel and have built things to try to capture it.
I love the concept but these types of games are very difficult to run. It's not a typical game that you just pick up as a DM, skim the module for a few minutes, and run it.
There's a slight problem with this adventure. What happens if the players go "All fire giants we've seen always attacked us immediately. Time to clear the farmstead." What happens next?
TBF she did say this isn't an adventure for evil characters. But also they still find the cheese in the basement after they slaughter the family. The adventure still works.
This video is nonsense. Why is none of the advice geared towards the scenario itself? It doesn't sound like Woll has ever playtested or run the adventure she designed. It's all abstract advice that could be geared towards any scenario.
This is a game for tables that want a larger focus on the exploration and social pillars of the game and less on the combat pillar. It may not be for everyone, but i think it would work for my group, especially as a change of pace.

This woman is a treasure! I will happily purchase anything you publish by her… the walkthroughs are simply an amazing bonus. Thank you.
Could you imagine if we got this level of walk through with official campaigns?

Seeing Deborah happy, just makes me so happy! Such an infectious personality!
I truly enjoyed "Relics and Rarities" from Geek and Sundry
Yes this should be a source book!!
I just love that this takes place in Daggerford. Ever since the original module for that town came out (long, long ago) - it's been one of my favorite places in ANY fantasy world. Absolute must buy, thank-you, Deborah!
This set is way more cozy and well-shot than the earlier ones.
It's so weird that little baby vampire Jessica is giving a rundown of her DnD campaign 🤣 Joking aside this seems fun.
True Blood was filmed 2008-2014, yet look at Deborah.. Maybe she really is a vampire :)
I really wanted them to play "Curse of Stradh" together :D

This woman is a Half-Elf.

“Manji…Manji”
My heart!!!! 🥰
I noticed that the baby talk words match with the Estonian language
Manji/mängi - play
Ima/ema - mother
Soodluus/suudlus - kiss
I don't think it's a coincidence
Sold 1 min in! A creator/writer that is excited and knowledgeable about her craft!!
I am very very VERY excited for this!

I love Deb!!
Omg I love her so much.. I used a toddler cloud giant in a game and my players killed it when it tried to play with them like dolls.. so take care😂
I believe I'm going to get this and combine it with my highly modified Storm King's Thunder adventure which also blends in some of my custom Underdark themes.
D&D is not favourite RPG but Deborah is my favourite anyway.
Always happy to see her.
I bet this adventure is great!
I hope this opens up an even wider audience for my favorite game. D&D is for everyone!
I always curious about dnd but it looks very intimidating.

Ok this is great I look forward to playing it with my party…. But you know a “Relics and Rarities” sourcebook would be very very cool 😀
Saving the children's menu has a different meaning when dealing with Night Hags
*flashbacks to old bonegrinder intensify*
“Greenhouses are so fun!” I hadn’t realized I was missing out
I LOVE this!!
Im going to christmas this adventure up see how it goes
What a gem 💎 she is
I'd love to see her as Galadriel in some (faithfull to the lore)LOTR production
I have the most ridiculous schoolboy crush on Deborah Ann Woll. What a marvelous human being. ❤
I can't wait to see her run that on the D&D Channel. Oh wait...
How did they make cheese out of enchanted plants
Is there a physical copy available, or is it digital only?
i think its in the cookbook
Is giant really that common a language for a party to know? I certainly wouldn't have assumed that.
OH my Gawd! Does this link up with the one where you're a bARistA???! And maybe the children's restaurant can be in the wizard school??!
Sounds fun, but my worry is that we're going to get morally difficult situations where you are murdering toddlers and then the nasty internet arguments that will follow.

This implies you have a one shot and don't try to fit this into a campaign,@@martinjrgensen8234.
Most people don't do this.
It turns into a police procedural, with the PCs on the lam.

@sgising2 I don't know if I'd say they're evil in D&D context for killing what are effectively monsters to them.
@@theformalmooshroom9147 "All X people have attacked me therefore kill X children unprovoked" is evil enough.

This game would make me walk away from the table briskly. How is playing with kids is going to help you find who killed the people
Hopefully your DM is aware that you prefer a MH style of play.
OK Nato designation for mig-15@@jamespryor5967
