I'm from Argentina and any concert at that stadium is always the same. No matter of what band plays there . Although when my home team plays there River Plate ⚽ team it gets 10 times more crazier . I was at that concert and seen : The Police - Clapton just to name a couple of many I've seen. But nothing like the Copa Libertadores 2018 🏆⚽
That was a very young crowd. Young and active! They knew the lyrics. They knew all of Angus' riffs and moves. That was a real crowd, perhaps the best ever.
After this recital, the River Plate stadium was closed for recitals because the sound of the band and the jumping of the public caused movements and cracks in the nearby buildings. Recitals could not be held for several months. It was epic!

Not too shabby for a bunch of old dudes!!!!! AC/DC played 3 straight nights at River Plate in Dec 2009 to a total of 220,000+ ppl so says their official web site so that’s 73,000+ a night!!!!! Brian Johnson was 63, Angus Young was 55 and the rest of the boys were in their 50’s!!! Legendary is all I can say. These Argentina fans are the best on the planet and they appreciate good hard driving rock and roll. Just look at all the different ages in the crowd. It transcends generations. Unbelievable!! Nice serving of "peanut butter & jelly guys". Your reaction was/is one of the best yet in recognition of these fab guys from down-under. To think I lived in the southern suburbs of Sydney to witness these guys rock local town hall & pub venues to their freakin' foundations back in the 80's. Couldn't hear for two days after one of their gigs. Even recall working outside the Sydney Cricket ground one Saturday night & hearing them entertain the neighborhood back when. Certainly energizes the psyche while soothing that need for speed. A complaint was officially lodged with Sydney City Council about the "noise pollution" - which of course was a great line that inspired another of their hits. Check out "AC/DC - Rock and Roll Ain't Noise Pollution (Plaza De Toros De Las Ventas, July 1996)" Great, great reaction fellas. Thanks from Sydney AU.
For a while, no more recitals could be held in that stadium since the houses around it began to have stability problems due to the tremors caused by so many people jumping. I can say that I was there in the crowd, very close to the stage, unforgettable. Greetings from Argentina

It’s interesting you mention the retirement home. When Malcolm Young had to go into a home for the elderly in Sydney due to mental issues due to age etc, he was in the same home as one of my friends Grandfathers. He was forever listening to his music on his headphones as his love for music was still so strong and he used to dance/walk around the place listening to it and the other oldies would follow him conga line style, that’s how powerful his energy was. R.I.P. Malcolm one of the most brilliant rhythm guitarists/composers ever.
This past weekend has been a great music love-fest at the 50th anniversary Glastonbury festival: Eilish, McCartney (with Dave Grohl), Kendrick Lamar, Diana Ross, Elbow, Crowded House, Alison Krauss...You'd have loved it.
I have the chance to see some shows all over the world cause I love music. The way we feel / live and love music in Argentina is totally different. I can’t understand the passivity of the crowds in Europe and USA. I think because of our passion of soccer, we sang the guitar chorus every single theme. There were reports of this concert registering on the seismographs and some homes close by being damaged from the noise. I saw them on this tour, except in Atlanta, GA. They also cracked the roof of one of the arenas on the first leg of the tour. They had to turn it down for the rest of the tour. My ears rang for three days after.
Saw them in Madrid, top gig! Such a pure clean sound, loud as fuck but no earplugs required
For a while, no more recitals could be held in that stadium since the houses around it began to have stability problems due to the tremors caused by so many people jumping. I can say that I was there in the crowd, very close to the stage, unforgettable. Greetings from Argentina
River Plate Stadium has been remodelled. Now it can have 85 thousand people sitting plus the football pitch. Imagine that. Cant wait to see more concerts like this
Here is a list that you should try (in any order):
-Let There be Rock - official video or Live at Apollo Theatre - (with Bon)
-Whole Lotta Rosie (Live at River Plate) - (With Brian)
-TNT (Live at River Plate) - (with Brian)
-Riff Raff Live at Apollo Theatre - (with Bon)
- The Jack Live at River Plate - (with Brian)
- Its a Long Way to The Top (If you wanna Rock n Roll) - (with Bon)
-For Thouse About to Rock - Live at River Plate (is The Last song from the concert)
I would add Jailbreak (Live at Donington) to this list.
@@stevemccullagh36 great suggestion
it's imposible to listen to this song without jumping and headbanging 😜
It’s interesting you mention the retirement home. When Malcolm Young had to go into a home for the elderly in Sydney due to mental issues due to age etc, he was in the same home as one of my friends Grandfathers. He was forever listening to his music on his headphones as his love for music was still so strong and he used to dance/walk around the place listening to it and the other oldies would follow him conga line style, that’s how powerful his energy was. R.I.P. Malcolm one of the most brilliant rhythm guitarists/composers ever.
That was the best reaction!! Thank you guys so much!!
React to Motley Crue 2008 concert in Buenos Aires. It was raining a lot, but the people don't move from their places
The Donnington one in 1991 vs this one, shows their age a bit as the Donnington one was mental, but they still had it.
Saw them in the 80s at The Monster Of Rock concert UK....nothing compares to being in that crowd 👹
Yes! Sadly I never got to Monsters but love Download
This past weekend has been a great music love-fest at the 50th anniversary Glastonbury festival: Eilish, McCartney (with Dave Grohl), Kendrick Lamar, Diana Ross, Elbow, Crowded House, Alison Krauss...You'd have loved it.
Thanks for the laugh Glasto v River Plate. Truly funny.
I have the chance to see some shows all over the world cause I love music. The way we feel / live and love music in Argentina is totally different. I can’t understand the passivity of the crowds in Europe and USA. I think because of our passion of soccer, we sang the guitar chorus every single theme. You must watch “Indio Solari JI JI JI” but in a live show, he made the largest circle pit in the world. I love my country 🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷 thx you so much for your video! Greetings from the other side of the world 😂
Munich is another Live AC/DC concert that is also awesome. These guys just know how to ROCK!
RIP to Malcolm, glad I got to see them before he was taken from us.
Seen them in Sydney and was amazing, ears rang for days, Thunderstruck tour
i have goosebumps, so pleased you are enjoying our boys.
