I rather have this over a pool. Never have I imagined a huge pond/mini beach (with fish in it) to be in someone’s backyard. This is a dream come true and it is brilliant to have this type of idea. This creation got me so Excited
When I was a kid I wanted a pool with sea lions 🦭 … in some parts of the world, one can keep otters as pets… so my new dream is to have a creek and swimming hole with otters 🦦 in them. I just found that place. Can’t imagine I’ll be able to get a hold of some otters… but, when I put it all together, it will be otter ready. lol
Another GORGEOUS recreation pool! When you call it that, it's so much more. Living with and talking with all those Awesome plants is, to me, so rewarding. Thank you for sharing this one!!
I have been loving watching all the Australian ponds. As an Aussie, it’s great to see the aquascape system in my own country as proof it really works and looks great.
My grandpa had a pond dug off a marshy creek on his rural new England property. The CCC dug it for him for fire protection, so it cost him nothing. Since it was already in the watershed it was maintenance free. Rope swing for the win!
That is without doubt One of the coolest Recreational Ponds ever. I completely agree with you, Greg. That is better than a basic swimming pool. Out of appreciation to you for taking the time to produce this content to share yet another incredible Pond, I have just given this video the 51st like to say thankyou very much for sharing. 👍🏼🙂👍🏼❤️
This is incredible! I'm encouraging my son into the Aquascape line of work....in the hopes he uses my yard as a testing ground of his aquascape skillz....lol I wish I had the money for the aquascape lifestyle! Absolutely amazing!
beautifully designed and implemented - the fact that the slop continues after the pond and you are at an elevated spot, with a panorama makes this quite unique. lovely family.
This is a very nice space and being able to swim in it is amazing. We do have an old stock pond on our property that we would LOVE to upgrade into an area that looks like this and is free to swim in safely....who knows...maybe one day after were done building homes.
We're going to build one of these one day but we live in florida and don't have any free boulders. I imagine that many boulders would cost as much as an in-ground swimming pool
I would worry about snakes. I live in North Texas and I have three acres of water in my back yard. We boat and paddle boat in it. No swimming in the pond because of copperhead, rattlesnakes, water moccasin. The turtles will take a two off and the gar look like crocodile! 😬
Hey Greg. Can you make a video about what to do when it gets hot outside. I live in Central Texas and it has been 105 for months and want to know what to do with Koi and algae.
You need to add depth (I know "too late for that!") but once you get 15 feet down the thermal mass of the Earth really cold the water efficiently. Barring that, you could try to retrofit misters in the pond. This will increase water evaporation so you'll need to watch your water levels, but it should cool the water several degrees. The only other affordable option is to add shade. I feel you, summer is unbearable in this heat.
@@GregJoshuaW Thanks for the advice. Its only about 5 feet now with a liner so that would almost be a complete redo. We have two chests with ice (80 pounds a day) just slow draining it into the pond now, but the temp will not get down past 85 during the day. We even put dye in the pond because I heard that works. Looks like I will have a big project before next summer!! I'll ad some more shade today. thanks again.
You could experiment with an idea. If you have access to land nwar your pond (and the ability to dig deep) you could make a thermal radiator. The idea is you bury water line deep in the earth and run it similar to a radiator. Some use a concentric circle layout, others do the typical up / down run. The point is to create enough surface area with the warm water running through the pipe contacting the earth near it for the Earth to absorb the heat from the pipe radiator configuration, the pump just needs to push water through it from the pond back into your falls or stream which then flows back into your pond. The deeper you go, the cooler the Earth gets. IDK, you can't redo the whole pond but this idea might save you all that ice work. I hope it works out for you, hot areas are very challenging. If it does, please report back how effective it is!
Why aren’t there more contractors in south TX? Is the climate not conducive to keeping natural ponds? I spoke to someone that told me that these rec ponds just don’t work here, but I would love to find out if that’s a true issue. It is quite hot here, 9 months out of the year. And algae is an issue I’m sure. I have wanted one for so long.
Has to do more with whether the type of plants required to filter the water, keep down algae and such can be grown in your climate. I would think they could be
Georgia, USA, here! 🙋🏻♀️ Subscribed from Laura Garden Answer’s channel! 🙌 I could only hope and pray to be able to afford this natural beauty in my 2-acre backyard 🥹🙏🏼
In Arizona there would be Rattlesnakes and Scorpions behind every blade of grass. I would love to have something like this, but need to first protect it against dangerous creatures.
With how much these ponds cost and taking into consideration the eventuality of having to re-line the whole thing, how the hell does that work? Genuinely curious

This is a slice of heaven! Absolutely gorgeous! The kids having so much fun is a cherry on top! They did a great job on this!❤❤❤
Love the native plants with boulders! The underwater shelfing is beautiful. Great job and great customer.
What a great rec pond for the family.
For a naturalistic pond build… this is the standard. Very well done.
Absolutely stunning water feature, so naturalistic! Thank you for everything you do for Brian B. and Kenan. ❤

What do you mean ccc dug it for him for fire protection? why is a pond dug for fire protection...? I don't get that.

I sure enjoy watching all videos of pond building. If I was a little younger I would have my present koi pond enlarged. I love ponds and fish
Wow. Can't believe how perfect this pond looks.
Perhaps a few more plants on the shelves.
Brilliant.
Es un lugar precioso, felicidades por un proyecto tan bonito. Saludos desde Barcelona.
This is the best and my favourite pond I have seen so far.
I wish to have one
No wonder I'm not too fond of pools. give me a CERTIFIED AQUASCAPE CONTRACTOR any day over a pool.

love the idea of a pond you can swim in instead of a regular pool ❤❤❤❤❤❤

I have always wanted a water feature like this but it wasn’t in the cards 😢😢 this is perfect!! Absolutely love it ❤❤❤
This is an Idyllic water feature. Chemical free is better for everyone. A great place for the children to spend their time. The water is so clear. ❤
That's our mission here at Aquascape! ❤
Awesome pond. Good job.
Stunning! Very Impressive and beautiful thoughtful workmanship.

May I ask how many budget should I expect to build something similar?(also in NSW) Sydney to be Specific
Fantastic pond. But a want to see how its build and not to see how kids jumped in
I wish they showed more of the building process
Me too!❤

Unbelievable build. This man is a master.
Greg, you're amazing man! Love how you do your best for both the children and the aquatic animals to be all happy! YES💛☀️💫YES💛☀️💫YES💛☀️💫

Do u add anything to the water to get rid of bugs or mites rash causing mites or worms?

You and your crew do an amazing job
Does it get many snakes?
I do LOVE this!
Just lovely!
What a cool pond...love it! God bless 😊
Beats the ass of a swimming pool!!
Omg. Come to NJ. Please I have a yard that needs you. Not sure my pockets can afford you tho lol! (It's a compliment!!) absolutely gorgeous
Just Awesome!
Fantastic job! Watching from Florida. We would definitely have to check for alligators every single time before we went in. 🐊😬
I’m outside of Tampa I was thinking the same thing 😂 I’d love to know how much this would cost in Florida..
Fantastic. Roughly what’s the cost for this? -coming from Tampa fl. Thank you!

it was in my dream, and now I see it become reality, I must build one for my self.
Please advise on a proper pond liner .. all I've bought suck.. and it's a lot of work to replace
Amazing water features. How much more expensive does this pond compare to pool?
Fantastic. How do you keep alligators and crocs out?
Lifeguards
YES PLEASE!! 🤩🤩
WOW!WOW!WOW!WOW!
WOW 🤩 that is so awesome
Is there a natural water intake? If not, how does the recirculated water stay clean?
It goes through a filter
I'd love to see how they built it
Wow what a dream 😍
Excellent
Do we have to fill it with water occasionally to keep up with evaporation?
Of course

Hi, I'm from Georgia too and a GA fan 👍
You've actually got plenty of room to do a lot of great work back there! :)
Thank you so much for coming over! Hope you enjoy seeing how we live the Aquascape Lifestyle 👍
SC here. Wondering if we would get snakes in those grasses. Thats my only concern .
@@MrLoudog7 Snakes are everywhere
Paradise!
I'm curious about the amount of electricity to run the pumps ?

paradise for kids 👍
how do you keep frogs out?
Cant wait to see the dream stream at Laura's
Love it! :)
Need this in Texas
What kinda of liner and pump did u use
How do you winterize the pond?
What would something like that cost in Australia to get done? Just a ball park figure? I can’t see it getting done for less than 250k AUD?
I wonder whats the cost of a pond that size. Is it worth it to build something similar in colder climate? Like central europe?
Central Europe? You mean Austria rather than Australia? Here's a native Austrian who built himself a lovely swimming pond at home at very low cost.
😍
Here means where? Central Europe like Poland :>
❤ my country.😅
So why do they welcome you to it every day?
Amazing work. I want to buy your property!
How do you do a 'wetland filter'?
My dream: hemp house, natural swimming pond, sauna, somewhere in the bush.
Beautiful made 👍🌺👍🌺👍🌺
Can you build a pond like this without a liner
I want this!!! 😂❤❤❤AMAZING
You can! >> www.aquascapeinc.com/find-aquascape-certified-contractors
Is there any issues with mosquitos breeding in the pond?
Wonderfull!
With how much these ponds cost and taking into consideration the eventuality of having to re-line the whole thing, how the hell does that work? Genuinely curious
Those liners will last 50 plus years so you won’t need to worry about it
How much does a feature just like this one cost?
How much more would this be over a similar size regular inground pool
Maybe less expensive, because there is no cement?
from where is the water coming ? and where is the water draining out ?
It recirculates, round and round.
awesome!
Love it
