Actually, that’s not true. The houses in Gamla Stan are much older than those in Södermalm. Gamla Stan dates back to the 13th century, with many medieval structures still standing, while Södermalm wasn’t really developed until the 17th century or later.

Yup! Gamla Stan is definitely older, it can be seen from the architectural designs! However, I didn’t really get to explore Södermalm.
