I’m one year into my journey & a lot of my ends haven’t locked yet. I have a strong feeling that I’m going to have to give mine a trim as well, but I said I’ll wait until year 2. I’m glad to see someone not so caught up on preserving length, but obtaining the desired aesthetic they want.
You know locs are somewhat like lose natural hair when you need a trim. It just flows and looks so much better. You did a great job. Beautiful locs. Continue to enjoy your journey
First off, I would like to say that hair hair looked so much healthier after you trimmed it! I literally went back to the beginning of your video to compare. Just trimming the ends made a huge difference. I have a similar issue. I’m a year & a half into my journey and my ends look like fuzzy caterpillars🐛 with pointy tails. I asked my loctician and she said that I needed to trim them. She said if I don’t I would have pointy ends. She offered to trim them for me, but I’m going to do it myself. Thanks for the video. There aren’t many videos talking about loc ends.
After I seen the end result I had to go back to the beginning, and what a huge difference! You had more of a edgy look with the end in the beginning, then the trim made it look super clean. Thank you so much for sharing this with us!
It looks great and I totally understand wanting a certain aesthetic. When I started my first set of locks I had ends like that very early on in my loc journey, so I took a risk and cut them. Now I’ve started my second set and I think I’ll wait to trim them like you did.
You and your locs are beautiful. I love the size and fullness of your locs. You did a great job trimming them. I can definitely see a difference in the appearance. ❤️❤️❤️
Looks great! I agree with you. I trimmed and combed out the ends of my last set of Locs as well as my new babies. Whenever my ends start to coil up on one itself I either comb out and keep the coil or comb out.
This looks amazing 😍 you did such a great job! I will definitely be doing this to my hair at some point. I also have those random thin pieces on my ends where curls used to be. I also do not like it lol.
I think your hair looked fine either way but I can understand when your locs dont look solid at the ends. I've cut some of mine too lol Beautiful locs!❤
Take a sip every time I say “I don’t like that” 🥴

I'm at 2.5 years and I'm about to trim mine now. Your tutorial was the best one so far😊
I love to hear that! Thank you!
Dang this is the encouragement I needed to trim my ends. The difference is like night and day

Thank you! I was kind nervous about how much I cut but just a few months later I’m not missing those straggly ends at all 😂
You influenced me to finally trim mine. I had curls and knots on my ends so they had to go 😂. I love my clean new look now

My ends look exactly like yours and they drive me crazy. I am planning a trim when I hit the 2 year mark in a couple of months
Leave your hair alone it's fine it's Beautiful!
I love how you stopped everything to clean the mirror😂😂😂
I need to do mine! I think mine comes from the rubber bands I put at the ends when I do the 2-strand twists.
you are so gorgeous!
Thank you so much ! ❤️ I am a reflection on you 👏🏾
I love it!
My hair is doing the same thing.
Trim those ends and watch the difference it makes 🙏🏾
What method did u star with?
Two strand twists then Interlocking. I’ve only ever interlocked over my almost 4 years.
Mine fell off on its own
