I totally agree Sarah, we are now retired and have had a low income most of our working lives, but still paid off our mortgage by the time we were forty, I found budgeting was making me miserable so worked on just simply spending less, checking was I getting the best deal for everything I needed, I love minimalism for that reason, so now we are living way under the poverty line here in Australia but live a great life and go housesitting for holidays, never feel like we are missing out, whilst living a simple life. Blessings from Canberra
@@SmallChanges absolutely would love too, we are currently doing part time care of my husband’s elderly parents who live four hours away from us, but get in touch when you have some dates😀
I'll definitely implement the use of hard cash for those areas you discussed. I feel it will keep sticking to our budget better and seeing the money in front of us might even encourage us to be more frugal. ❤ Thank you for the hot tip, Sarah! 🥰
Hi Sarah, I notice you said you have no phone plans. Can I ask what you do for phones? I'm currently on an Optus plan and am interested in saving some money. What have you found works for you?
I minimize my spending as much as possible too. I'm proud of myself for resisting the urge to shop for clothes for the past couple of years, even though I've donated quite a few trash bags full. Now that I've been through the decluttering process several times and know my preferences and standards for clothing better (e.g., natural fabrics), I'm ready to shop some secondhand stores (because being eco friendly is important to me too) to fill in some holes in my wardrobe.
My wage is considered "low income" too 😝 But I have still managed to buy an apartment on my own and am now mortgage and debt free 🎉 I am also extremely frugal. I think my tip would be that you can live with alot less then you think. Things people think are "necessities" are more like luxuries, you just have to change your perspective. You don't "need" the latest phone, you don't "need" to have heaps of streaming services, you don't "need" expensive clothes.... I'd rather make do with less luxuries but have the security of owning my own home. As a single person on a low income and with some health issues I've had to learn where my priorities are. I'd rather sacrifice a few "luxuries" and be less stressed and not have to overwork myself.
❤ thank you so much for the simplicity. Even years into watching you i learn more and more.

We currently use a pre-paid 12 month plan through Catch, which uses the Optus network. It costs around $120 per year ❤️

Jenny great minds must think alike because next weeks video is all about thrifting 😍
"oh, please" 😂😂😂😂 Budgeting literally made me anxious so I quit doing it, we are debt free as well.
Did you buy that from etsy
No just from Amazon ❤️
I pay with Card because I have a very good Money App wich is connected with my Banking Account and where I can create Budgets for everything.😊
Thanks for these tips ❤ I'm hopeless with money 😔 Rent eats up so much of our weekly pay
Oh I feel you 👊🏻 rent sucks 😭
