Again excellent instructional video! Probably a nice reduction in felt recoil? The best part for me was telling us there is a different and more complicated way the buttpad has to be installed on our collapsible stocks. Saved a lot of trouble, money and aggravation.
A couple drops of oil into the screw holes from both sides and the screws push right out from the inside if you push the pointy end using a flat end bolt of similar size Took maybe fifteen seconds per screw and they popped right out, just lubricate the holes in the stock pad first.
For the skeletonized stock the one inch screws appear to be too long. I have tested with 1 inch and 3/4 inch and I believe neither is the correct length for the skeletonized stock. Home Depot has 8-32 x 5/8" screws and I will try those on the skeletonized stock. Note, test the screw lengths yourself before trying to use them inside the pad. Inserting and removing the screws from the Limbsaver pad is easy versus the the butt pad that comes from Benelli. I don't recommend trying to remove those and reusing them. Good luck.
Really love your channel and I subscribed alreday. Question, which Mesa Tactical butt stock (Limbsaver) can I use on my Benelli M3 Super 90? Please make a video on how to remove and install M3 stocks to the Mesa Tactical . PLEASE advise on the butt stock model so I can purchase it from your site! Thank you sir and Merry Christmas!!! Awsome videos!!!
If your using the skeletonized stock , the original screws, or the size he recommends here won't work. The correct size screw for the skeletonized stock is a M4-0.7 x 16mm.
Just got the limbsaver pad today...got home and was super ready to install it! And then now I cant because apparently I have to find an Ace Hardware which is nowhere near me? Why in the heck would you guys not include some screws to install it?
Hey Todd I got a mesa tactical urbino stock and I screwed up and forgot to get the limbsaver pad where can I get one that will go in the mesa stock the stock one is like a brick on the end of the stock
One inch screws will not work with the collapsible stock. The two areas that accept the screws are not deep enough so one inch screws didn't work form me. I think the 3/4" were too long too so I sawed off a bit just to test the results and have decided to try 5/8" screws. Hope that helps.
The stock will not fully collapse with the limbsaver pad unless its modified. If you look at the OEM pad it has a pocket for the tube, the limbsaver is flat. I installed the limbsaver on my collapsible then took a silver marker and dropped it into the stock. After shaking it a few times it creates a general outline of the hole. Using drill bits I gradually made a hole in the limbsaver to about 7/8 of an inch. After that I reinstalled and tested. It needed a little finishing with a dremel and sandpaper, but my stock with limbsaver pad now fully collapses.
@@dylanhernandez5475 Great info, thanks. I'm considering the limb saver for the collapsible stock myself. In your opinion is it worth it? Does the pad really help to reduce felt recoil? Thanks.

I can't wait to buy my benelli M4 I'm saving now glad I found this channel
the bacon is as important at the Benelli! Thanks for you time... Once again.

Great job, keep it up.
Good stuff.

@@Justin31789 I have been sidetracked with a million other things and have not had a chance to retry the install.
Correct size is M4-0.7 x 16mm for the skeletonized stock
A little liquid soap on the shaft of the screwdriver helps.
Or wax
Or Vaseline
Silicone spray works well.

@@FreedomFighterTactical thanks for your work

Yes

Limbsaver makes that part. that would be hardware for them to furnish. they don’t. anywhere you buy that pad, it does not come with screws.
You don’t need to go to ace. Any hardware store should have #8 one in screws.

You can prob get one direct from Mesa…
What about the collapsible stock. Will these screws and butt pad work ? Thanks..

@@dylanhernandez5475 Thanks for the info. I was wondering about that after watching a vid on modifying the pad to fit about a year ago.
