  • This is a recording of a lecture presented at the Western Martial Arts Workshop in September, 2024, by Adam Franti of the Lansing Longsword Guild. This lecture focuses predominantly on the experience of fencing in the so-called long 18th and long 19th centuries, roughly 1688-1918.
There is an emphasis on fencing in the United States, and fencing as promoted among regulars and volunteers in the American military of the 19th century.
Unfortunately, the recording was made in a somewhat noisy room and quality is not as high as we might like.
Questions are encouraged in the comments.
If you'd like to have Adam present a lecture for your club or event, do not hesitate to get in touch.
