Al,I'm sure it very comforting to have your son getting things done while you sitting in the hospital, glad your eye is fine.. please wear safety glasses and yes hearing protection, ok no more scolding on what you should use..have a good day and be safe.
I got a piece of metal in my eye many years ago and it was in such a spot that it wasn’t painful. After a few days, I decided I had to get something done and I went to the doctor and they took it out like you said in just a couple seconds with a strong magnet. Problem was I now had some rust on my eye that had to be buffed out, and that was not comfortable at all.
To answer the trivia question I say yes, I think you could order a 1969 Camaro RS with hideaway headlights, 6 cylinder, and 10 bolt rearend. I could be wrong, I don't know that I have ever seen one. The RS package was more appearance related enhancements, where the SS package had stricter guidelines and was more performance related.
Al I did body work when I was younger (a lot younger) but I know you have that hammer when you where a kid but a couple of different body hammers and dollies are amazing and I was at the hospital multiple times for eye injuries
Hello my brother Al I am happy to hear that your eye is good because you need both your eyes to keep these Camaros alive I also love the video you got a lot done and also be very thankful for having a good son I have a question when you put on the quarter panels on the very top did you overlap and then weld there I really did not understand it or do you butt weld? Keep the videos coming, my friend
I would say yes to your trivia question. RS package is just a style package. I don't think you had to have a specific motor in it. It's not like it was a SS car or a Z28.
I know my first car was a 69 chevelle it was a non ss car it ca.e with the 69 big block hood 4 speed it was a console car it had a 12 bolt posi with a 307 and that's how it was ordered and the build sheet said that there was 2 one on top of the gas tank the other under the seat
Hello , Al . Do you remember the model number of the electric welder you started with? Or what model do you recommend for a person learning how to weld , no gas . Thanks . I asked the similar question. But I decided that I don’t want to use gas . Sorry for bothering.
Thank God your eye was ok. Your is a good son helping old dad out. Great job 👍🏾

Right on Al, great progress.

I miss the days when my dad and me worked on projects together. Wish he was here to help me with Bowtye.
That's going to turn out great. Love a 69 Camaro.
Great Video Bud , But that's not a feeling to get metal in your eyes, Been there. Yeah that's great for your Son getting things done Too 👍✌️

Hello Al I received my 1/2" impact driver today and it's really nice. I emailed you a picture of me with it today. Wear some safety glasses
Hey Al, I used to get those pieces of metal in my eyes all the time, get a shield instead of safety glasses never had a problem after that.
