This video was beautiful before, but WOW that drone footage was incredible! Thanks Evan! X) I do have fond memories of the smell of hay from visiting my farmer relatives in my youth. :)
You always manage to get the best shots, especially with the drone. They looked like it could be coming straight out of a nature documentary. And you also capture small, unique aspects, such as your little hay bale comment, that really bring the video to life.
I have never ever watched a travel vlog that was so cool that I actually wanted to got there. But right now I'm thinking about just buying the tickets ;-)

I love the smell of fresh hay! But my favourite is Haylage I'm not sure if you know it? It's cut (the grass) earlier in the season so it's more wet and less dusty. Often used for competition horses as it has a lot of sugar in it!
I get sunburned so easily. I wear SPF 100+ normally. I know that it doesn't make a difference past SPF 50 (I think that's the right number). BUT I LIKE TO BE CAREFUL OK. Anyways, I have to apply the lotion every hour and a spray every half hour in between. I still get sunburnt. Badly too. Basically I'm too pale and the suns loves me too much.
Why Botswana? No wonder it cost that much. For anyone outside of Africa, its generally a lot cheaper to go to game parks in South Africa. This is because SA is the hub of sub-equatorial Africa. Basically, if you want to go anywhere in the Southern half of Africa, you have to fly to South Africa first. If you are looking for a cheap but relatively first world trip, your best bet is South Africa or Kenya.
Botswana is a pretty popular destination here in Germany, especially the Okavango Delta. But thanks for the heads up. I'm gonna look up South African and Kenyan safaris
Axel check out Welgevonden (a big game reserve here in SA) you can get really nice accommodation, game drives, knowledgeable guides, etc. for really good prices.
