- In this new series on South Africans who have massively outperformed, mechanical engineer Mteto Nyati explains how his family’s obsession with education put him onto a road to becoming an Outlier. It’s a story of discipline and dedication, faith and application - and an appreciation that fancy plans are worth nothing without execution. He spoke to Alec Hogg of BizNews.
Great interview. The most notable thing about successful people is that they know how to communicate clearly. They know how to verbalize their thought, something I am struggling with.
My Role Model... Had the privilege of meeting him in 2019 at the University of Cape Town.
What a great man!!
Inspirational!
Please Sir , can we have some more. Great interview.
Quite inspirational indeed!
Excellent interview. A lot to learn from Nteto Nyati.
So he comes from the bureaucratic/ middle class of the then "Bantustans". I do wish we steered clear of creating "narratives"..."from the black/ poor rural" to "prosperity". Prof Ivor Chipkin writes eloquently about the influence of the Bantustan bureaucratic class on the current messy politics.
You nailed it Lolo;bureaucratic middle class of the then 'Bantustans'.Nothing 'rural' and professor Chipkin nailed it to;unvailing this shrouded enigma that has contributed to the mess we are in.Great stuff;short, precise and to the point Lolo
