I always have problems coming up with a masculine card so really appreciate this video. They are lovely cards and I am inspired to get my card making stuff out now and use some of these suggestions. Thanks so much for sharing and please do more like this!
Another great video. Great to have masculine card ideas. I need to build up a stash. My son came to me needing 15 thank you cards last week and I realized all my thank you cards were so feminine as is most of my patterned paper. Whipped up a bunch quickly thanks to some best route DSP I had on hand! Would be nice to have some ready just to add sentiments.
Great masculine cards. Absolutely love the simplicity of them. They are fantastic, thank you for showing us some amazing examples. In my opinion, simpler is sometimes best for masculine cards.
its fun to see you doing cards other than from kits, not that I have anything against Spellbinders, I just don't buy kits. I love your sense of humour and your card ideas, so I usually watch anyway, so thank you for your videos...
my take on masculine is geometric, earthy colors, metallic, that can include elements such as leaves, birds, trees, clocks, cogs etc.. thank you for the technique ideas and embossing ideas, I truly appreciate that, I have just subscribed to your channel. newbie card maker here
Love that Tim Holtz embossing folder! I used it with 110 lb black cardstock and applied silver gilding wax, it turned out beautiful! I do agree with you about masculine cards in general, but luckily, the men in my life really like humorous cards, too!❤️
Good tips. I'm glad you minded me to lightly spray the card stock before putting it in the embossing folder. I had forgotten that. You can use a piece of dental floss to remove something that has been stuck down. I don't know if you have heard of that but it works pretty good.
Love these cards! Great ideas! I have a husband, 4 sons, and 4 grandsons. I would use cards for more than Father's Day. I'd send for all the holidays. I'm thinking of sending the grandsons some having to do with school, like good luck on your test. Or something with sports like great game! Lots of reasons to make male cards. I think it would be fun to send my sons some funny snarky cards 🤣
Thank you so much I really really appreciate your time and effort and I really really love 💕 those cards you’ve made. I’ve subscribed and given you a thumbs up 👍 too. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags
Hi! I love how you come up with such a clear idea of how masculine cards differ from feminine cards! Less is more, for men! Brilliant! I absolutely LOVE the metallic card! I could not find the name of the embossing card. Will you please let me know? That is a great look! Thank you very much for sharing these ideas. It usually takes me weeks to come up with an idea for my husband's, father's or son's cards! He IS Able! Traci Starkweather
You hit the nail on the head with guys like it simple!! Love your ideas... Question could you use tinfoil over card stock on that one Embossing folder??? how would you do it??? I'm asking as I like the way you explain good, bad, right, ooopps in such a way that I GET IT!! Thanks Loved this Video
Most do! Lol.... ok now you have me thinking about that and I must try it! Stay tuned I think there will be a video on that one in the next couple of weeks! Bloopers and all!
I like your cards and love your videos, but I’m not sure that I agree completely. There are some dies that are appealing to most fellas. For instance there are some very fun sports theme dies, tool theme dies, carnival theme dies, pet dies, automobile dies, and many more depending on his interests. I do think it’s true that not all men will appreciate the time and work involved in adding dies to his card. Which is maybe what you meant when you said it’s better to get to the point.(?)
You are absolutely correct! There are all those dies out there, and can be used for masculine/ young boys cards! Sometimes though since those dies are extremely specific, they are not in our stash or not something we look at during our purchase... so you are correct I should have stated that differently... For my channel though, my goal is to make sure everyone can create! So while I have everything possible in this awesome card making world... a good portion of my followers do not... I want them to see you can make beautiful cards without most of the bells and whistles... thank you so much!
love that idea with metallics
Great cards, Ruth down under.

Nice examples of masculine cards. Thanks so much! Masculine cards are hard to find. Could you do cards for boys, sometime?
Thanks, I will add that to my list!

Wow! That faux metal is AWESOME!! (Desiree lilt) 😉I love Gina K’s 100# cardstock! Perfect for card bases but not _quite_ so heavy. Very very nice!!

Very nice. I'm a simple girl, so I don't seem to have as much trouble with masculine cards as others. That must be why. LOL
Could be!
I make cards for charities. Recently, one of them sent out a call for masculine cards. This video is necessary.
Terrific! Great timing!
Coming from a mom w/a house full of guys, I thank you!!!
Lol, you are very welcome!
What are the measurements of the cards
These are A2 size cards. 4 1/4 in x 5 1/2 inches.

Great cards ... wonderful ideas ... lots of waving hands & fingers give the video a frantic affect ... kind of distracting
Sorry for that it is how I create.
Aren’t males boring! Great cards but men don’t like frills and lace! Boring!
