'Secret' Method to Land King's FF1 Combos

- I've mained King for almost 2 years and have never been able to land is FF1 "Big Boy" combo, watch this video to see how I suddenly learnt to do it in a few minutes with this 'secret' method!

I have been struggling a lot in the point blank shining wizard people can do. Is it the same principle?
@@hydrowolf363 Exactly the same, either FF,n,F 2+4 or F,n,FF2+4 whichever you find easier.

I was still struggling and had your video on while I was in practice mode. The one thing I was missing was u have to press your first forward until After your 2 HITS!....awesome video and keep KING BEASTING 🤴
Nice one- I find if I use it in an online match I really have to concentrate to make sure I don't hit the first F1 too early!

@@beigemaster in this hour i already did all combos you showed in this video! i'm so happy to be finally able to do the ''big boi'' combos. but i need to land them consistently, so that's of course gonna take a while, especially in real matches.
@@horizonbumpy2828 that’s awesome bro, glad I helped in some way! Landing ‘big boy’ combos online and in ranked does take practice and you’ll inevitably end up dropping some and perhaps costing the match, but the more you practice the more you’ll land and honestly landing a hard combo is sometimes more satisfying than ‘winning’ 😎
Another argument for this hard combo is, it dont need adjustments for different hitboxes like females.

@@beigemaster For King there 4 different types: females, bears/gigas/marduk/jack, fahkumram, normale male (e.g. mishima), special male (e.g. negan, miguel, king/armor king; df2 1, df 4 3 or df 2 1 after it -> dont connect) etc etc.
Sometimes this matters on the b2 1 and it will whiff, also on all "big" chars sometimes df2 1 -> corkscrew miss depending on the launch. But the big homing and even very low hitting hitbox of fF1, it just hits everything.

Worked! Key is to look at King's animation of second punch!
The odd thing is that for me this method with buffering is more difficult, I fell that the timing is even harder. What I do instead I'll just wait for the 1,2 to be over and then I'm quickly inputting FF1. Nevertheless, great vid. Your channel realty helped me improve.
I can just about go that fast on a mixbox/keyboard just can't do it on pad with my thumb. I think I find it easier to be 'accurate' rather than 'fast' from all those childhood years playing the piano!

I’m tekken god with king and can land this consistently. Best advice I can give is that after the 1,2, watch kings animation. As soon as his arm comes back in from the animation, THATS when you press ff1. Trust me
I got this landed a few times now thanks to this vid. Now the hard part of trying to do this online on PS4...

I can do the 1,1,12,1,ff1 combo was trying to get the timmig on the 12, ff1 thank you for the breakdown. I cant wait to put the mechanics to work. #LevelUp

Good luck, remember to practise just doing the 12 then FF1 just by themselves. It's hard to explain but if you're patient and don't try to rush it, the timing will just fall into place.

The first tip is a great idea to save frames.
The second tip is wrong. If you manage to get it on the exact frame like an electric you only get a jab because the input is f, hf, 1. You can not do second f and 1 on the same frame.
Don't know what to tell you, all I know is that if I hit the second F and 1 on what feels like the same frame (simultaneously and I have a pretty reliable electric and OTGF so I know about JF inputs) then this just works for me both on pad and mix box- if you look at the command history, you can see the F and 1 overlap.
Could be one of the many weird and wonderful legacy quirks with how the button inputs work, but this is just what got me to land this after 2 years of failure!
I mean I hadn’t learnt this combo since 1 year and I was smoking online players who knew it just like you were saying you don’t need to know this to progress but it does make you look professional

I actually screen capture using either OBS or GeForce Now while in the "Photo Mode" of GeForce Now, then manipulate the "camera" with my pad. I then usually add a couple of post effects in HitFilm such as the lens blur.
I've not used the 'Cheat Engine' but I might start looking into it- I know it's how "I Am Pang" get's a lot of his footage.

I can do the buffer outside the combo but when I string it together I cant get it to work lol 😅
Probably buffering slightly too early, wait till you see the spark and his arm retract before hitting F

Still having a ton of issues with this, I keep getting regular 1 jab instead and I'm losing my mind after trying it for so long. What could I be doing wrong?
If you’re getting a 1 jab then you’re probably hitting the first F too early. I did a bit with a handcam if it helps- How to Play King on a Pad (with Hand Cam)

I can do the 12 then f but when I add the f1 after the 12f it will just do the 121 string
Probably going a bit too early (hard to say without seeing your footage).
Suggest going 12 with no f input then wait till you can see King's arm coming back after the 2 jab then buffer F then F1, it's a much longer time to wait than you think! If you watch my latest vid where I have a hand cam this might help you see the timing.

Can’t remember the actual name of the throw, but you can do it by either the regular GS input (F, HCf,1) or Shining Wizard input (WR 2+4) In that clip, I ran up and just hit F,2+4 at the last moment.
Finallyy... 😭😭 I know how its done im struggling with this, i thought it has been patched. Now i can doo wall carry with higher damage
Edit: its seem that I cannot do it even with this tutorial, i hope uncan show us the hand with the controller soo we can see how its done.

King plays fine, without WD, in my humble opinion.
