This comes out on this, the day I finally finished Lobotomy Corporation's 100% ending. Mili's songs inspired me to begin looking into the world, and they accompany me as I now take notes on them. Thank you for acting as my gateway drug to the Project Moon Brain Rot. I don't think I'll ever be the same again.
Ok so after listening, I need to say. If the original between two worlds is supposed to sound like a carol with many voices, this version is made to only have one and because of that I'm more inclined to think this is Sinclair's perspective on things. The world of light sounds more somber and quieter than the og, and the piano leitmotif sounds actually like the snow falling the morning he returns to bury his family. It sounds more sad than the og version, and it gives you the feeling that it's actually him asking those rhetorical questions in the lyrics. In the second part world of darkness I swear the last line is different here, and I think the original line was "the freeing of the soul" but here it's "a breath with my new lungs" or something along the lines of that. It gives off the impression that it's sinclair in the epilog being free again. 😢 every time mili makes a key ingredient ver. Of the songs they make its so touching and I love how it give us another taste of the same dish. Thank you for being such an amazing band. 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
Both of the ending lines were in the original, but they were overlaid and the “new lungs” one was in the relative foreground with the other in the back.
Don't forget they completely changed "Control, Control, Release, Control" to just "Control". If this is Sinclair's perspective, it's likely a way of saying "I'm in control of my own life now, and whatever you say or do to me will not change that."
The newly created "In Hell we Live, Lament" further emphasizes the original, unique tragic atmosphere, making us feel like we are the main characters of the music's narrative and feeling the tragedy directly... The same goes for “Between Two Worlds.” As this is the main song in Sinclair's narrative, think about the image of Kromer holding the heads of Sinclair's parents when he returns home, when faced with that situation. His shock, his rage building up, his rage-filled goal of finally sticking the spear into Kromer, and the escalating atmosphere as he approaches that goal are driving me crazy. And in the end, he came close to sticking a spear into her heart, but in the end, it was someone other than himself who finished the job, and in the end, he was unable to come out of the egg of his own will. Each detail of love and care that was poured in this album truly felt like a transcendental experience. I can't wait to thoroughly disect each intrument.

oh In Hell We Live, Lament has been one of my favorite songs of yours recently and this new version is so wonderfully emotional. The original is so energetic and leans towards a sort of franticness, but the softer piano in this version really feels like a lament full of grief.

Was driving when I decided to listen to between two worlds for my initial experience and any semblance of concentration on the road was lost. This rendition of realm of light completely throws you off your feet into it's gentle arms. The sweeping piano and soft vocals lulls the audience into feeling I can only describe as a cradle of feathers. Then the piano begins to gnaw it's nails down, and the realm of darkness blooms. Any and all sense of safety built up in the former half has been torn away with the tone of the song shifting to anguish, desperation and grief. Was absolutely left stunned from start to finish. I am so very eager for there to be either official or fan transposed sheet music, and as always thank you Mili for your wonderful work.
That new Between Two Worlds both sounded and felt like Kromer sang it herself, amazing! I wished Fly, Broken Wings was also included here, truly unideal. Hopefully in the future it'll shine once more~
