Hi, this video is superb! Created my thumbnail by following this video. One question, i put text on the background and it adapts the color of the background how can i control the color of the text because i cant change it. It still adapt the color of the background that i created. I used the same effect that you used here. Hope you can help me.

The magnetic one might not give the straightest edge. Pen tool is very powerful

Once you have your subject cut out you can do anything with the background!
