Sir, As of my observation the sustain of margins in thermal power plants is very difficult because of input cost is touching sky especially the cost of coal is very high. Due to lack of coal availability some companies are fail to run upto it's full capacity. Manage of Environmental issues which are generated due to these thermal station is very cost centric. One more the agreements in this sector between companies and governments is very pro to Governments.
Last month , i read an article related to power and its demand .. so invested in few companies depending up on depth of its requirement - 5 stocks i am holding - 1. NTPC 2. IEX 3. Triveni turbine ( electrical equipment manufacturers) 4. Torrent power 5. TD power systems Now thank u for more information Anna ..!! That's very useful!!
@@luckysham3041 nothing like that... I like IEX, TD power systems and NTPC !! But follow financials every quarter.. that is the only way we can know wether the company is profitable or not..!! If financials are getting bad , don't invest !!
But remember these are short term play like 6-12 months.. after that they may saturate .. so always track the company u have bought and its progress and price in chart.. technical analysis only one point u remember.. if the stock breaks 200 D moving Average on daily chart.. u sell it

Sir, There is one flaw with NTPC. NTPC being owned by Govt, the tariff is regulated. It can not capitalise on the increase in prices in spot market/ IEX. Torrent can be considered as better , as per new regulation, price of gas based/ international coal based stations can be sold as High as ₹50.
