Lord of shadows 2 gameplay is very good and I've recently replayed it and man what an underrated game it is. The addition of dodge really improved the gameplay

Your mention on dynasty warriors 8 is far from the best in the series. the warriors orochi saga will give you the best bang for your buck on those combo systems. not many people seem to know about the fist of the north star or berserk: band of the hawk games either. these should get some cred. again, nice video.

Dante's Inferno's only issue was timing. It released when hack and slash was nearing the end of it's golden age and was the market was just over-saturated. I loved it though. I actually couldn't stand GOW because of it's over use of puzzles.

Dante's Inferno does NOT literally drag you to hell. You are more then likely sitting comfortably while playing the game in your basement. People need to stop throwing the word "literally" around when you don't know how to use the word correctly.
Code vein is not a hack and slash it's literally just anime dark souls. The core combat mechanics are really solid but personally I wouldn't recommend unless you are a big souls fan desperate something new to hold you over. The level design is pretty bad and super frustrating at times. You WILL get lost without referencing a guide for at least some of it.

Code Vein Gameplay was good, but its Storytelling was the most boring shit i´ve ever experienced. Bright Memory is 2h long. Nothing i would pay for. And it has nothing to do with hack&slash genre.
It is a hidden gem cause even among old gamers most don't know it even exists. It only has a single game which came out 14 years ago. The game only came out on PS3, psp and xbox platforms. Sure you can play with an emulator on pc but there are many gamers who dislike playing on emulators as their game performance can never match a real pc version. So it easily got hidden by many other games of the same genre that are readily available in many other platforms.

Astral Chain is a HIGHLY underrated game. Some of my favorite combat of all time.
I wouldn’t consider it a hack and slash. Certain types of opponents require certain skills.

I love Mirrors of Fate. It blends the side scrolling that the original series is known for and combined it with Lords of Shadow gameplay mechanics.
