How people are still breeding and don't pass on common sense shit like that I will never know. We weren't from Florida so we didn't know. People who live there or at least know what a gator is, should know it from word of mouth alone. I couldn't watch that vid. I saw the first clip and immediately knew how it would end
@@tatyana1230 it's very much possible, but they knew she liked going down holes. If I knew that, and I knew there were holes around, my dog wouldn't be out without supervision. I have a cat that's terrified of everything. He got out one time bc of family and I spent all day looking for him he does not come when called and only hides until he feels safe, even from me. He has not been out again years later bc we took steps to make sure he wouldn't get in trouble.
Reminds me of how my cat passed, stuck in an awkward spot. She got hit by a car and crawled under a drainage pipe (culvert?) next to the road while I was at work. My uncle was home and called me as the driver stopped to inform us about the incident. We were unaware of where she crawled at first, knowing cats hide themselves in situations like this. After searching for an hour, I spotted her in there, using a flashlight. The culvert is about 9 meters in length and I tried several ways to get her out. I ended up nailing planks and garden tools together to push her to the other side, using a rake to get her into a box, because she’d start biting. It took me about 2.5 hrs to get her out of there (it was 23:00 by then) Took her to the vet, where she was quickly diagnosed with a broken spine due to no feeling in her lower body whatsoever, like I suspected. We put her down, of course. My uncle throughout this whole experience wanted to quit and just leave the cat in the pipe. I know it was better to do what I did though. Relief for me as an owner, knowing that we did what we could, and the cat being put down instead of dying a slow death in the cold pipe. Idk man felt like a good spot to vent this out

The only lesson here to be learned is Miss Flossy must not be going out unattended anymore. How scarry!! Poor Flossy, I will definitely have a heart attack if that were to happen to my dogs.
Yup. My rescue dog loves to sprint off and run miles away if given the chance. The solution, fixed our fence on both sides and kept the garage shut. Plus, I trained her to come up to me in my car for treats when she does happen to escape since she use to just run away from the car and away from us like it was a fun game, a game she loved but we hated.
@@lunaballuna our rescue terrie mix is also very fond of sprinting off and a few years ago he was bitten by a snake, it was a frightfully painful ordeal for the poor chap. We have now limited to free spirited run to the confines of a very fenced in yard and extremely mowed lawn .. needless to say I'm a full time helicopter dog parent 🤣.
@luluandfriends1 yup, I know that feeling. I use to be comfortable leaving my garage open and fence the way it was because our other 3 dogs are so well trained. We've had them since puppies, so I can trust them way more. Misha, our street rescue, was found on the roadside as a 3-year-old dog and we've had her less than a year (abt 8 months now), so I just can't trust her like I could my other dogs. Especially now that we know she can climb wire fences like a f@#king cat, hence why we had to build a wooden privacy fence 😂
some dogs are escape artists. it’s not always the owners fault. That’s why we have a shock collar on our dog so if he runs we can easily get him back, but he doesn’t always have it on when he runs.
It's more like a lesson to not get your dog of a leash if it has tendency to run far away from you. Like fr so many people let their dogs out because they "always come back" and they are getting hit by car, stolen, get lost. Just watch your dog!
I mostly agree, but at the same time a dog is a dog and being a puppet on a string for its owner is no way for a dog to live so you got to let them get out and about every once in awhile

She tried to look for it around her house, the area where she live, tried to spread posters, share it on social media, etc. She finally managed to find Timmy by chance at a grooming shop when her brother brought their other cat in for grooming. They knew she liked going down rabbit holes and that there were a bunch of them. Thank goodness a neighbor heard her. That's just like those people in Florida who let their little dogs run up on gators and laugh until the poor dog gets snatched up.
I wondered if she possibly got out on her own or fell in while going for walk. I’m sure they’ll be more mindful
I think this is a bit different than letting your dog approach a hungry alligator but I see your point😂
So true, glad there are responsible pet owners out there. That florida croc video is just disgustingly heartbreaking, so avoidable and negligent. Can tell you I would not let anything happen to my lil babies
@@nik90910 my grandparents lives in Lakeland, Florida for many years after they retired. They told us when we were kids if there's any body of water, there's likely gators in it, no matter how small it looks and never walk your dogs by lakes or ponds bc that's their favorite food.
It took me about 2.5 hrs to get her out of there (it was 23:00 by then)
Took her to the vet, where she was quickly diagnosed with a broken spine due to no feeling in her lower body whatsoever, like I suspected. We put her down, of course.
My uncle throughout this whole experience wanted to quit and just leave the cat in the pipe. I know it was better to do what I did though. Relief for me as an owner, knowing that we did what we could, and the cat being put down instead of dying a slow death in the cold pipe.
Idk man felt like a good spot to vent this out
I'm sorry for your loss, thank you for being such a loving cat parent
All fur parents would have done what you did. I'm sure your cat appreciated the effort & is happy in paradise, god bless you ❤️
im sorry for your loss but you did the right thing. you are an incredible human being, thank you. do you have a new cat or pet? i would love to hear about thrm

That’s so sweet praise the Lord he is always working!!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤
It's a lesson to be a better and deserving-to-be pet parent.
One that they ignored until it was almost too late.

A lesson for all of us not to let our dogs just roam on their own.
yep, leash or watch them.
There are leash laws for a reason. Not sure why people refuse to follow them.
@@Zeroshikinot everyone lives where that law is put in place
some dogs are escape artists. it’s not always the owners fault. That’s why we have a shock collar on our dog so if he runs we can easily get him back, but he doesn’t always have it on when he runs.
@@redhead.s45 i thought shock collars were rlly fuckin bad…

It's more like a lesson to not get your dog of a leash if it has tendency to run far away from you. Like fr so many people let their dogs out because they "always come back" and they are getting hit by car, stolen, get lost. Just watch your dog!
Fr this shit makes me legit mad. Better be a lesson to keep your dog in a fenced in area for EVERYONES safety
@@quisy1993 it’s a rural area most likely was in a fenced area. Bad things happen that’s life.
I mostly agree, but at the same time a dog is a dog and being a puppet on a string for its owner is no way for a dog to live so you got to let them get out and about every once in awhile

Thank goodness they found her! Hope she stopped going down the rabbit 🐇 holes!
My neighbor lost her cat- Timmy for a week or so. She tried to look for it around her house, the area where she live, tried to spread posters, share it on social media, etc. She finally managed to find Timmy by chance at a grooming shop when her brother brought their other cat in for grooming. When they arrived, the cat was meowing so loudly, it sounded like she was crying. Turns out Timmy was there. He was taken by a guy to be bathed after he just bought Timmy at the pet market. It's seriously amazing. Because the grooming place wasn't even close to the pet market where the guy bought Timmy. 😭 Don't lose hope!
That is God working everything for the good of those who love Him, have a nice day.
Did the guy return Timmy and get a refund or did your neighbor let the guy keep Timmy?
Subhanallah that is amazing encounter experience 👏🏻

@@Sani-pt3ls My neighbor gave him as much money as he paid for Timmy. She offered more out of gratitude, but the guy refused.

@vero dogs are animal’s domesticated ones at that, it is our responsibility to protect them.
@vero only that they are dogs. Dogs do stupid things, all pets do. It's on the owners to look out to prevent things like that happening in the first place. They knew their dog does this, yet they still let her run around unleashed and unwatched?

I live in Texas and I see animals get hurt here all the time because of negligent owners if you own a dog please do your animal a favor and get a fence and Leash them I know leashes are uncomfortable for some dogs but it needs to be drilled into them that it's a safety precaution dogs will run out in the middle of traffic and not pay any mind to their periphery it literally is beyond them that they could get killed at any moment it's up to us as their owners to protect them
