I am currently trying to read more diverse romances. Maybe a video idea? Picking 10 countries randomly and then choosing 5 books that take place in these countries (hopefully writers are also from those countries) and reading them.
What I read in May was: 1) Rafe: A Buff Male Nanny story by Rebekah Weatherspoon (2 stars) 2) Twisted Love by Ana Huang (4 stars) 3) Twisted Games by Ana Huang (4 stars) 4) Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard 5) Truth or Beard by Penny Reid (4 stars) 6) Grin and Beard It by Penny Reid (5 stars) 7) Beard Science by Penny Reid (currently reading by will be 4 stars) 8) Lockdown on London Lane by Beth Reeekles (4 stars) 9) Protecting what's Hid by Tessa Bailey (2 stars) 10) The Four Agreements by Miguel Ruiz (4 stars) 11) Reel by Kennedy Ryan (5 stars) 12) If the Shoe Fits by Julie Murphy (4 stars) 13) His to Keep by Lydia Goodfellow (3 stars) 14) Below Xero by Ali Hazelwood (2 stars) 15) You've reached Sam by Dustin Thao (3 stars)
ooo so many goodies. i think i've read a lot of these! but it's good to see you enjoyed Lockdown on London Lane, i'm supposed to read that one here pretty soon :)
Have you seen the lost city with Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum. I think you’d enjoy it. Loved this wrap up I really appreciate your perspectives and views. I feel like you’re actually honest and will actually say when a book isn’t worth all the hype and if it’s just lagging and also when you bring attention to some underhyped books or books that go unnoticed but are actually treasure❤️
LOL! I spent most of May finishing grad school homework and reading some lackluster KU romances, but both Book Lovers and To Marry and To Meddle were actually my favorites by a huge margin 😂 (And specifically for Book Lovers, it was like someone had been spying on my younger sister and I, although neither of us are fans of New York.)
i felt the exact same way about 'never seduce a scot' the romance was cute but the external factors were so frustrating to read about. also, on another note, i think you should read 'praying for rain' by b.b.easton i feel like you'd really enjoy it.
Please please read The Long Game from Rachel Reid . It’s the continuation on Heated Rivalry that you gave a 5 star too . Because of you I read that book and now it’s my favorite hockey romance . You will love it !!
Great video-reading Book Lovers next and if it’s like Beach Read then it really should just be women’s fic and not romance. Also would love to know after you read something if you then decide to keep or declutter it if it’s on your physical the shelves :)
What I read in may The inheritance game (4 stars) If the fates allowe it (3 stars) Under one roof (3 stars) Book lovers. ( 2.5 stars) Layover (3 stars) City of bones (4 stars) Made in Korea (2 Stars) DNf A little something different (3 stars) The serpent shadow (4 stars) How sweet it is (3 stars) Simmer down (1 star) DNF Almost midnight ( 2.5 stars) Daughter of the pirate king (4 stars) The summer of broken rules (4 stars) Daughter of the siren queen ( 2 starts) DnF
Just finished Book Lovers. Nora’s codependency irked tf out of me. I didn’t mind Charlie because I felt like I related to him quite a bit. Nobody else in the book is even noteworthy enough to warrant an opinion. Considering I gave Beach Read 4 stars and PWMOV 5 stars, this was disappointing to say the least
