I've my sem end tomorrow and I started this is us three days back. And after Three days of binge watching, sacrificing the sleep for two straight nights...I can say this is hands down one of the best shows I've ever watched and I don't regret a bit for losing the sleep. I was awestruck by the sheer brilliance of the show, its simplicity and yet genius is what makes our great. It's a rollercoaster ride of emotions where you laugh, cry, smile, enjoy, mourn with the characters and every single scene seems so relatable that you feel like you're one of the them. You feel like this is YOU, THIS IS US. Not to mention the haunting background score that just makes you go through the ride with little more of feels and emotions.
I didn't know that Chris wore a body suit, but I knew something was up because I had seen him in stuff where he looked a lot smaller than he is on the show. I just thought his weight fluctuated a lot
What surprises me most is the backup plan to use a different actress for Rebecca's 60's version of herself. Not one sprinkle of makeup can take away how beautiful Mandy is. And for a minute, I thought the offscreen romance was going to be Crissy (Kate) and Chris (Toby).
Love this show and Chrissy Metz is very beautiful but there’s a difference of carrying a few extra pounds but she’s morbidly obese. This is not healthy and I’m really scared for her health.
Holly S she’s contractually not allowed to lose weight unless it’s fitting with Kate’s loss of weight. But, they’ve said she regularly meets with a dietitian and her doctors.
Earth2Sam Corker Where did you read this? I read quite the opposite. I read that she's not contractually obliged to lose weight. She said that the writers and creators put her health first and won't write in the character quickly losing weight if the actress doesn't want or can't do so.
I've been going back and watching the first season episodes and taking notes of sorts for continuity, I notice on randall's report card, his birthday is listed as 6/27/81. I thought I saw in a later episode that Jack's (and the babies birthday) was 8/31 in 1980, the year of that superbowl. . did anyone else notice this? A few other things, but this is probably not the correct place. My apologies.
I think it's pretty clear that any "Big Fans" of this show are sad, boring people who don't know much about anything other than what's fed to them in the media.
