I might eventually get some for backpacking, but for now got a USB-C headphone adapter. If these are like the old school fit, I like these silicone additions that redirect the sound into to ear canal.
I highly recommed to put a "O" foam on Apple Earpods (not the standard ones, but ones that have a hole on both sides), they will stick fine in the ears without any discomfort.
Thanks for the review! Supposedly it will play uncompressed music from Apple Music. Is it noticeable at all? What earphone would the sound quality be comparable to? How does sound quality compare to AirPods 3 or AirPods Pro (which don’t play uncompressed)? Thanks! :D
lossless is only supported up to 24/48K due to the limitation of the DAC inside the USB-C connector. While the EarPods sound great for their price, it's not Hi-Fi in any way even using lossless via Apple Music. I don't think the sound difference is worth the higher bandwidth used to play lossless through the EarPods.
Will the volume remote work on android? It's type c yes, but Apple always makes their products exclusively for their devices, so it begs the question, will that functionality be on android?
First comment here. I’m happy you got to review these. I just bought a pair yesterday and I love them. I use them on my MacBook with USB-C and also some of my Android phones like my Oneplus 8T and my Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultta until I can get an iPhone 15 Pro Max lol. I also noticed as well that the volume is for some reason lower on Android than on my IPad Air 4th Gen with USB-C or my MacBook Pro. Great review Hifi Insider.
Why they don't work on Mi11T Pro? Don't even show that headphones are connected. Also don't work on Redmi note 9, but works on Redmi note 10, Samsung a51 and Redmi 9. What could be reason?

Are there any improvements in terms of sound quality with these earpods compared to the lightnings ones?
Yes they now support hi res lossless. So definitely better than lightnings
Is it work on Pixel 7? Including adjusting volume, play, pause, Google Assistant?
Yes
You all need to buy Uapp to unlock hardware volume control like normal Crapple USB C to 3.5 😅
i can't tell what you are saying through your joke? We need an app called Uapp is this on android phones too?
does the mic works on windows laptop?
Dumb question but would this work on a usb-c to usb-a adapter plugged into windows?
Yes!
It's borderline theft that the iPhone 15 does not include wired earphones!
Mate, does mic work on windows as well?
Sorry but not working with my redmi pad 5
😢

I prefer the convenience of bud style over in-ear.
Couldn't you raise the volume of the wired earpods with the sound assistant app on s23 ultra. That'd fix the problem of low volume right?
I am not familiar with this app. I went into settings/sound and max out the Media volume and it doesn't get as loud as on iOS or Mac or Windows.
It's hard to find any earphones with decent microphone quality! But apples microphone is top notch.

thank you, I'll look into them.
On my S23 everything "works" but the gain of the microphone is way to high (with a lot of background noise) and there is no way to adjust that :/
