Exclusive Look: Kitschy Couture SS25 - Backstage of the "Artificial Paradise" Collection
After inviting us to a whimsical wedding last season, designer Abarna Kugathasan now takes us on a journey to the honeymoon.
Set in the iconic swimming pool of Neukölln, the show once again transported us into the enchanting world of Kitschy Couture. Last season, we witnessed the bride marrying herself; this season, we get to see her bask in the joy of her honeymoon, celebrating self-love.
This collection is more than just fashion-it's a safe haven, a celebration of diasporic identity, and a space where everyone can embrace their true selves. It resonates deeply, especially with those who are far from home or come from an immigrant background, offering a profound sense of belonging.
I am incredibly grateful to be part of the Kitschy family, and my aim is to create this video as a mini-documentary that captures all the beauty I was honored to witness. I hope to convey the vibes, the tranquility of the preparations, and the crescendo that was the show, culminating in the euphoric afterglow.
