During his year off from movies in 1923, Valentino recorded two sides of a 78 rpm record that can be heard on YT -- "El Relicano" and "Kashmiri Love Song".
Just when I was thinking that Valentino's death during the silent film era means we'll never hear what he sounded like, I came across your comment. Thanks.
Valentino was the biggest film idol of the twenties. And every other decade from now until the year 3000!! He was simply the greatest film star the medium will ever know. He transcends everyone else but Elvis Presley. And Valentino did this without sound!! That inarguable fact places him in a singular pantheon beyond all others. Generating a larger than life chemistry with only pure physical expression. It's Valentino and Elvis. And no one else even close.
I loved that sensitivity and passion were part of his movie roles and his image. Sexy. He wasn't afraid to show real emotion. He was all man. All man❤❤❤
Although Valentino was definitely male, he did have some soft, effeminate physical characteristics to his person. I think if he were alive today, he would have had a very successful career in movies.
@Monalisa-tq4pl I heard he was bisexual. He may have been I should say. I'm fine with that. "To each is own." I love you Rudolfo Pietro Filliberto Raffello Gugliemi d'Valentina d'anguello. I have loved him since I was 12 years old and I am 61 now. Longest love affair of my life.😊
I looked it up and found this : Rudolph Valentino Apparently when silent movie superstar Rudolph Valentino first arrived in Hollywood he had ears which ‘stuck out like a mad elephants‘. He subsequently had his ears pinned back and took the world by storm (until he died at a tragically young age that is).
@@tchrisou812Disparaging comments were also made about Clark Gable's ears when he came to Hollywood circa 1930. Gable's ears were never pinned back as far as I can tell
My grandmother once slapped Valentino when he tried to get fresh with her while they were dancing. He said, "Do you know who I am"? She said, "I know exactly who you are".
I feel badly that he suffered so much. But the reality is if you are unbiased he was the worst president in US history. Many were bad, he was the worst.

It is beautiful and he also wrote a book of poems. "Day Dream." I just purchased the book on Amazon last week. 😊
I just was thinking the same thing 10 minutes before writing this comment.
Cool!!

One thing I know about the 1920’s is that it was a hundred years ago.
Rudolph Valentino had "cauliflower" ears?

Gee! As said early in the video, he was PROCESSED to become a legal citizen! But very sad that he was taken so young
🙄

I'm sorry, but I would not have slapped Valentino. 😅
Valentino had those super polished eyebrows! So expressive!
I like Valentino.
Great video, but the chapters are the wrong people.
Whoops, I accidentally copied that from Part 2, but it's fixed now!
@@The1920sChannel I figured that was the case. :)

I thought that James Buchanan and Joe Biden were tied for the worst Presidents ever.
There have been some bad ones, as far as who was the worst, how long is a piece of string
