I ran a 1968 MF 300 combine for many years. This was I believe a North American only model but looked almost exactly the same as the 515 shown here just a little smaller. I learned to drive the combine on a 726 which was the forerunner to the 780 also shown here.
Remember initially MF didn't have big hp tractors to go up against the likes of the 4020 and 1206 so they bought Olivers and repainted them and sold them as the Mf 95, 97 and 98 because the suiper 90 was the biggest thing they had at the time finaly they brought out the 1100
I found this programme to be rather disappointing actually . It started ( and finished ) interestingly enough but half way through it wandered off on a tangent by talking about other topics altogether e.g. big four wheel drive Steiger tractors, or an International B.275 pulling a binder, interesting enough topics for another DVD maybe but nothing at all to do with the title of the DVD in question. The time would have been better employed talking about other MF 'Red Giant' tractors of the time such as the 1080, 1100 , 1130 etc.
A fair comment. The 'Steiger' section happened because of the link with MF dealers 'Eastern Tractors' and what some of their work force and others had organised at the Maldon Tractor Show, including harvesting with the MF100 series and the binder. The small section with the 4wd's lasted about 4 to 5 minutes so not a great percentage of the programme, it was a reasonably rare event so justified including in the programme. The DVD is 90 minutes long with 80% of that time looking at Massey Ferguson tractors and machinery from the sixties - more than enough for most people I'd say!
Great to see these old farm machines still working. These tractors were built to work and last
great to see this old machinery still going strong.
That warms my heart. Can’t beat a fergie or a even better a few of em
Love all Massey Fergunsons.

The 175 with grain trailer looks great, set wider wheels would add to it. front and Rear.
I know video is a bit aged, but it’s shows a lot of classic iron afield that very well may never be assembled and working together again
we have 178 multipower with cabin and front loader and its a nice little piece of eguipment. Really handy and best of its time.
Tres belle vidéo dans l'ensemble bravo est merci
i had been there and still driving an 295 on my farm in south america
