That's why I resented mk8 deluxe for a while, as it felt like Nintendo was just milking the game for profit. But over time it has grown on me and I've come to appreciate the new features and love the new tracks added to the game, especially 3DS rainbow road because my god that track is the best in the series.

I know! Maybe the amiibo reader on your game pad is broken so any games that use amiibo don’t start. Try starting the game without the game pad and tell me if it works.

You can definitely see the render distance and texture differences, but to the untrained eye there's nothing different between MK8 and MK8 Deluxe!
Don't forget about the unlocking characters and cups, also the item randomizer having only 1 slot instead of 2.
