I’ve been in situations where the expectation from admin was that I would deal with student misbehavior like this on my own. I was not allowed to send the students somewhere else. In those types of situations, is it best to ignore the behavior or is it still a good idea to call it out?
Hoodies!!!!! Omg! Principal said noooo hoodies! What a war. But then an exception was made for a black student who was having a “bad hair day”. Then all black students could have hoods up for bad hair. Our principal was black btw. I couldn’t believe it! Like WhiTE kids don’t have bad hair days???!!!! Then I saw her pulling out black kids before testing to pretest them. Then I saw her write up white teachers for being late, but not black teachers. Then I found out she was having white teachers create lesson plans for black teachers. I was done. I quit. The end.
What are some of your rolodex phrases? It sounded like a go to direct phrase and it’s awesome. How do you document? Paper/digital? Don’t forget your feelings why it bothered you.
"Your brain is for creativity, not for storage." I love that.

That's 100% my situation for the last 5 years. I'm drowning a bit more every year. 😢

Thanks for the great tips, love your channel!
Can we really cut out the background music it's really unnecessary and distracting!
Is this something that seems fake trying to work on this later in the year? Or still possible to have that transition

What do you do if the student has a designation for low IQ?
