It IS a good movie. A good bad movie is a movie that's so bad it's unintentionally funny, this is a comedy with great jokes and good CG that's meant to be funny.

For a comedy movie... the ship design, space combat and effects are pretty good. I feel like the guys really wanted it to be a serious movie, but they knew the story wouldn't be taken seriously at the time it was released and, in order not to be considered a bad movie, they preferred to release it as a comedy. I would watch it just for the realistic space combat and realistic design of the countries' ships and the retro-futuristic dieselpunk design of the nazi villains' ships. Too bad it was a comedy. It could be 60% action, 20% spy and political thriller, and 10% comedy.
I had to laugh when EVERY SINGLE ONE of all the countries all broke the treaty. Except for poor Finland who though that this was the "play nice" council. lol.
I love how there all of spaceships that are within the realm of science. The space combat also is pretty realistic with them using thing like spin gravity, railguns and a PDS.
The sad part is that by the simple fact these things have radiators they are already more realistic than a good 90% of sci-fi movies lmao. But yeah if this was a real space battle the engagement distance would be at least tens of kilometers, not close quarters at all, the ships would be spread out as there would be heavy use of nuclear weapons and a single one could easily take out one of these things, the ships would likely be simple geometrical shapes like cones, cylinders and pyramids and would also likely have at least 2 radiator systems if they are nuclear powered

The Red Dawn remake would have originally featured China as the bad guys but they didn't want to anger them so it was NK instead, with a little Chinese and Russian help...totally believable. Module itself is just a barrier (which still weights quite a lot overall) while internal parts are still pretty much heavy since you cant inflate computers, heat sinks etc. Plus internal structures to keep everything sturdy enough not to wiggle around. So, overall, while inflatable spaceships are kinda possible, pros are overshadowed by cons. Unless you build one in space.
Nice touch to have "Ride of the Valkyries" as background music.. Mostly used as German airplanes are coming in for a gunfight, now used against Germans..

And this movie portray USA as it is, for USA there is only USA and the rest of the world, regardless if that is first world countries or 3rd wold countries, there are all under USA.
