Your enthusiasm for these books is so infectious. I’ve never seen your videos before but I’ve just subscribed. Thanks for all the effort you put into this video :)
Just found you, and oh my goodness! We have almost identical taste in books!! Out of all those books you shared, there were only 3 that I had a differing opinion on. There were a few that I haven’t read yet that just got added to my TBR list, and I’m pretty sure I will love them, as well. Thank you so much for putting this group of books together. 💛
Here's a few I would add to these recommendations: Local Woman Missing by Mary Kubica (isolated/atmospheric) Every Last Fear by Alex Findlay (detective vibes) The Book of Cold Cases by Simone St James (paranormal vibes) Near the Bone by Christina Henry (paranormal and isolated/atmospheric and domestic) Little Darlings by Melanie Golding (paranormal and domestic and psychological) Neverworld Wake by Marisha Pessl (paranormal reunion isolated)
Kiersten Modglin and John Marrs are the best in plot twists. Also gone girl, no exit, the last time I lied and rock paper scissors were twisty and amazing! Thrillers are our passion and obsession! Can't wait for your next video!
I was so surprised by how much I loved The One. also, loved Dark Matter, No Exit and Pretty Girls. But loved so many more you mentioned. But added a ton of TBR. Thank You!!
Yes me too! I'm usually not much of a sci-fi person but that one was done in such a compelling way. Also glad you loved so many more of the ones I mentioned! Thanks for watching :)
Thanks a lot for compiling this list! I'm new to reading fiction so this is really helpful. Also really appreciate including the 'trigger warning database' - there's certain subjects that I just can't deal with reading about, so this is very helpful!
💛The all-time favorite plot twists video is a great idea, looking forward to it! I don't have an all-time favorite thriller; I've only just started reading thrillers this year. I just finished Lock Every Door and it was a fine read. I've got Home Before Dark in my TBR pile beside me now, judging from the many rave reviews, I won't be disappointed... but Riley will have to wait b/c Kealan Patrick Burke's writing style has totally derailed my reading goals for the year. Now, I'm as rabid about his writing style as you are about Riley's; I bought Sour Candy on a whim, it would be a short read, it would ease me into the horror-fiction genre-and I loved it. I'm about halfway through KIN, it's awesome as well; I'll be reading KPB to the exclusion of all other authors. Was this too much? My bad, I guess I'm in commenting mood this afternoon. Loved this post, have a great weekend.
I definitely will be making an all time favorite plot twists video soon! I'm so glad that you have started reading this genre this year! I hope you love Home Before Dark! I need to read his books. I own Kin but I haven't read it yet. I love horror novels as well so his novels sound amazing! I'm glad you left such a detailed comment. I love interacting in the comment section. Thanks so much for watching!
💛💛💛 Great list!! If I have not already read these, they're on my TBR list 😊 now I'm more excited to read them. I'm definitely going to try to do better about reading blacklist titles and what I already own. 🙃
That’s great!! Yes there are so many amazing backlist titles. It’s easy to get swept away only reading new releases (I do that a lot lol!) but I want to read more backlist this year
I would love to see a video where you talk about the books that had the best plot twists! 💛💛💛my all time favorite thriller is a toss up between the Silent Patient and a Clown In A Cornfield
Right now I am currently reading The Chain by Adrien McKinty. This is another fast read and I cannot put it down. Highly recommend. I love love love Riley Sager he is my favorite thriller author. I cant wait for his new book to be released . My fav of his would have to be Home Before Dark and Lock Every Door. 💛💛
I’m currently reading the chain too!! I’m really enjoying it so far and I think it’s a really good and original plot. Terrifying though. And yessss we love Riley Sager, I’ve read all of his books and I CANNOT wait for his newest release to come out
Ok, I also didn’t care for Rock, paper, scissors! I just finished The reunion and enjoyed it as well! Thank you for the recs 💕 I added several of the ones I have yet to read to my TBR! 💛
Loved your video!! I recommend Behind Her Eyes to you if you haven't read it yet! The ending is far fetched and absurd but extremely shocking and satisfying 💯
Loved all the books You recommended, that I have read, other than Riley Sager. Not into him. But thank you for all the many suggestions! I have added some to my Amazon cart :)
Great recs! I have already read some of them, have others already waiting for me on my shelves, and have added more to my TBR 😂 another great YA book I would recommend to you is The Naturals series by Jennifer Lynn Barnes.
Follow well earned. Oh I need some thrillers to escape to. I am currently 1/2 way through Pretty Girls and am loving it. Thanks so much Gotta ask, no Shari Lapena? The Couple Next Door was soooooooo good.
@@RivetingReads That is amazing about books and music etc, all the different tastes. For me Verity was just horrible. Funny how what rocked my world won't necessarily rock yours. Keeps life interesting. Recent book that shook me up big time; Brother. Oooof. Much respect to you.
I still need to read Gone Girl, it was a DNF for me, but I loved Sharp Objects and Dark Places. The intro to Stillhouse Lake was so good (I can vouch for the series) and just thinking of the audiobook of You still gives me chills. Those are probably my adult picks and then The Diviners series holds the top spot for YA.💛
If you love dark academia novels you should read Donna Tartt's The Secret History. Its literary fiction more than a thriller but there is a murder mystery involving a group of Classics students in a college in Vermont. One of my favorite books of all time and very well regarded. Take care
Thanks so much! I haven’t read many books about witches yet. I have heard that The Year of the Witching is super good though! For hauntings I would recommend: Home Before Dark which is super fast paced and has a spooky paranormal atmosphere.
I really trust @bethsallbooked, and she didn't like They Never Learn!! So that's why I never picked it up. But now I will! I will recommend Greenwich Park to you, it just came out and it's sooooo eerie!!!
Hi, I’m a new subscriber and loved this video. I’ve ordered 4 nooks from your recommendations. I have never seen anyone talk about THE STALKER BY SARAH ALDERSON but I really enjoyed it. Have you read THE COTTAGE BY LISA STONE? I think you will enjoy it
💛 So many good books, some of which I have ready to read on my Kindle. I actually rented Pretty Girls from my library right when I started getting into adult thrillers but I didn't end up reading it because of people saying it was 'too much' 🤣 but now I am much more at home with these types of books I will give it a chance. It's good to see you enjoyed Survive The Night because I read it a few weeks back and loved it yet so many people dislike it. Thanks for all the recommendations Sav. I look forward to seeing all the new thrillers you will read and hopefully love in 2022
I hope you really enjoy Pretty Girls!! I’m so glad you enjoyed Survive the Night too! You’re right so many people hated it lol. Thanks so much for watching :)
What is your all time favorite thriller?
The Push
Sharp Objects (Novel and TV series).
@@Sal_McCoy I still need to see the TV series!! I need to do the free trail just for that show lol
@@dawncocozza9240 I've heard wonderful things about that one!
Night Film 🎬 🎥 🎞
4:45 Isolated/Atmospheric thrillers

27:18 Revenge thrillers
30:05 Domestic & Psychological thrillers
43:32 Detective elements
47:07 Sci-fi elements
49:12 YA thrillers
I will never forget the plot twist in the book Behind Her Eyes. I still think about it lol
I still have to read that one! I own it though :)
Your enthusiasm for these books is so infectious. I’ve never seen your videos before but I’ve just subscribed. Thanks for all the effort you put into this video :)

Yes it is so tense and feels super realistic!
