If any song in the mod is a love letter to the original, it's this one.
And now, its one of the most (if not the one) official mod. (Repent!)

I like how this song eventually gives way to a really serene piano reprise of the original TBoI's Basement theme.
Sacrificial Reprise
Nehfarius Oh shit, I never realized that
I would've spent ages kicking myself over the fact that I couldn't tell where I recognised this from, you're a real life saver.
I remember first seeing the antibirth trailer and once The basement theme started playing I was like "OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH MY GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD"
Nehfarius no dislikes yet...
So the baby crying isn't part of the music...
Oh that just makes it so much creepier
I imagine a Empty Child Room with this soon like a Sad mom looking to the Window and a Sad White colored Room like they didn't know what would be the gender of the baby so they paint in a Neutral color but the Mom lost the Child and Everything turned upside down in Depression that is the kind of vibe this song gives me
when tho
crying?
@@PinkPuffball-wy2pi When you enter a secret room in antibirth you can hear a faint sound of a baby crying.
SANESS 1 thank you sans

It builds emotions until you hear 00:45 and you explode into an explosion of nostalgia
An explosion exploded

Step 1: crawl to knees
Step 2: Don't cry
Step 3: Cry a lot
well that's just a basic strategy in the binding of isaac
*Tears Up*
@iamthegoose we're all gonna make it one day.
IM NOT CRYING I GOT SAD ONION IRL I SWEAR!!!
It's sad how few people probably stayed in a secret room long enough for Sacrifical to kick in.
Just watch the Trailer if you want to Hear that Part. :3
No please I stayed in the secret room while eating so I could hear it
@Kzenblox HOLY MOLLY never noticed it
can include me in here. hearing this for the first time broke me :D
@@saulgerardo372 what did they say?
i never got kicked in the nostalgia so hard in my entire life
twinkle twinkle little star Same dude... That basement theme got me right in the feels... I shed a tear listening to this masterpiece
Faick LOG same. I had flashbacks of getting items that were shit and seeing that tear icon on the top change.
Even the name is nostalgic in a way
sigh.... same here
Bam right in the kisser
definitely a type of song I think matches the entire Isaac plot in my opinion
Totally. Also innocence glitched is gold.
Am I the only one that takes a break in the secret room just to listen to this song? I am in love
You Are not alone but I don't do it now because I miss the boss rush(sad)
Issac The Issac pause. the music will still play
Thx,alought i really don't play anymore,im busy these days ya know.
NO your not alone!
ok ok nice emotions- *noW gEt tO HuSh*
"A nearly full and original new soundtrack, evocative of classic Isaac"
~Antibirth Web Site page, 2016
*nearly* lol
nearly, but still its amazing they waved in the old basement sound track
Sadly this song wasn't added in repentance :(
Nearly full yet again
Checks out
the name forgotten lullaby actually fits quite nicely since it’s based on the original basement which a good chunk of people forgot about
The original Basement theme was Sacrificial. Still evokes that feeling of complete loneliness
i like how this is called the forgotten lullaby it's probably because itt's a callback to the original isaac
Best track of antibirth , remind me some good memories with The Binding of Isaac :')
MrRastafari25 so true
My Antibirth favourite is Journey from a Jar to the Sky
The feels when 'Sacrificial' hits.
Oh no...
ive always wondered how the kids you find in the secret room got there maybe the same thing that happened to isaac happened to them and they couldnt take it so they just kill themselves
That Guy knowing the basement is a representation of isaac's fear, this has to symbolise the fear of getting lost, to never be found again and to die alone, like all these corpses
Hence the forever alone face ooooooooooooooooo... It all makes sense now!!

Bro absolutely murdered this soundtrack it's a shame they didn't have him work on repentance, every song on antibirth hits so hard, first time I heard this it brought a tear to my eyes, after playing this game for 10 years this song just cements my love for the franchise, I will never stop playing Isaac till the day I die
The repentance soundtrack by Ridiculon is still really good! Mudeth will be making a mod with new tracks in if you want, though I'm hoping for a mod that randomises Mudeth's and Ridiculon's tracks so I can hear both.
@@TheLethargicWeirdo985 too bad Edmund doesn't want to add this soundtrack in as on option in the menu like it was in antibirth as an update it wouldn't really hurt anything in my opinion
@@twistedluki2100 I wish that was an option too but oh well
Edmund actually referenced this song in repentance with the 'forgotten lullaby' trinket.
Wait I thought it was in Antibirth before repentance?
@@TheLethargicWeirdo985 oh my bad then
i thought i was clever lol
@@penwozhere I just looked at the wiki, it got renamed in repentance, it was in anti but it was called 'Siren's song'. Your comment is still correct (and clever)!
Glad Mudeth got at least one reference :)
@@TheLethargicWeirdo985 Hallowed Ground SHALL NOT BE FORGOTTEN. In the update where The Forgotten was added, the developers of Antibirth were already working with Edmund, directly adding several items such as the Backpack and adding a new unlock for The Forgotten, Hallowed Ground. Does that name sound familiar?
@@pogfection787 I think it's more a coincidence than a reference, but could just be me
I don't know what it is about this song, but it just makes me want to cry. I'm not the type to get emotional, especially not over a song like this, but this puts me on the verge of tears. Then it becomes sacrificial, and boom I'm in a puddle on the floor.
It must be the fact that this is essentially from a game where, in the end, a child suffers no matter at who's hands.
0:43 love this part so much.
I wish this song was put in Repentance
its sad because even if edmund had hired mudeth to do an alternate ost for repentance this song wouldn't return, since edmund fell out with danny baranowsky and so the soundtrack rights for the original would basically be impossible to license
@@smonkk8556 no idea why Ed dropped danny tbh, his music was absolutely incredible and fit Isaac to the fullest.
@@pinkhoodieguy7703 Edmund himself thinks that Ridiculon's music fits for the game. It's his game and his view on it, after all.
Also, Mudeth is actually making a mod for Repentance that changes the OST, he was done with AB+ a while ago ;)
@@mithril5155 he already did with some friends, it's available on Steam right now
This is my favorite Antibirth song, it just feels so sincere. And the nod the the original basement theme kicks me in the early 2010s nostalgia
Mudeth is so goddamn good man, i love this so much
I feel a tear try to escape my eye whenever I hear Sacrificial worm its way into my ears.
Keeps reminding me of the early years of this game.
I never got kicked so fucking hard by nostalgia before
Nothing hits harder than when after all the buildup you realize that it’s sacrificial
coolest theme and reference.
Man originally i was disappointed that Sacrificial wasn't in rebirth or afterbirth and this mends the damage completely.
At 0:45 it always sounds for me as someone or something is singing
I think its violin
Sends chills down my back
Despite being one of the shortest songs in this OST, I have to say I like this one most of all.
This song just starts filling me with so much emotion. I've only played the Newgrounds version of Isaac (basically the demo) so I have no nostalgia for the original, but this song just gut punches you with sadness and sorrow, I love it.
Rip, ToDC:C, let us have our proper sendoff to you.
I already miss it :(
Can't you hear the cry of childhood from long, long ago
Fading, 'til there's nothing left
Can't you hear the final death rattle of your poor soul
Leaving your spirit bereft
0:45 - That melody is heavenly, even though it’s just a piece of Sacrificial, it sounds more somber and sad. I can’t believe how astounding this soundtrack is even in specific areas in gameplay that you don’t usually see often or stay in (like the secret room). This is the type of music I can hope to create in the future, it’s very inspirational. Well done Mudeth
That Basement reference though. Absolutely love it.
Sacrificial is one of my favorite themes in the original Isaac game and the nostalgia is killing me right now ;-;
That major chord near the end tho. Makes me shudder every time
My new favorite song. Just so fucking beautiful.
Kreygasm
You never really ever know the true meaning of a song in The Binding of Isaac until you see the title.
The story of isaac is really sad and this song kinda describe it well ....
This song Might also Describe The Lost Perfectly as well. Since, You know. She's Depressed all the Time due to the Fear of getting hit. (Also yes, I call The Lost a She. Deal with it.)
isn't the baby crying sound missing?
Think the sound was only for Trailer purpose.
It's for the second secret room only, I think.
Hellhound it fits very well indeed and is a spine chilling surprise as well
Maybe they added It As a SOUND EFFECT , not Actually Music ?
No no, it's in the music... I was just wondering this!
1:31 the part, when you are feeling sad, bevause the song is over
Interesting Fact: In the Original Binding of Isaac, Champion Monster's Brimstone *STAY* That Color while in Rebirth and Onward they Removed that Little Detail.
goosebumps everytime, just so amazingly done, 100% ducking nailed it

Morfe I'm on iPad lol
Issac The Issac Tough shit
Leitmotif at 0:45
Also, Fun Fact: This is the Trailer Theme for this Game.
A nostalgic punch to the stomach. Great song!
WHY DO I LIKE THIS SO MUCH!?!
The feels, that's why.

I also like the death theme "Acceptance" from Rebirth.
@@milosnp-5444 Acceptance from Isaac and Acceptance from The End Is Nigh SUUURE sound veeerrrry different
I want to know how to play this on piano.
Wow, I just found out that the "forgotten lullaby" is actually the Sacrificial track of original Isaac. Just, amazing work. I'm astonished.
Dryon It sounds a lot like those responsible at the beginning until it gets to sounding like Sacrificial.
Dryon or maybe I'm just getting mixed up. Who knows?

0:45 is my favorite part

not gonna lie, this is definitely me when i find a secret room
I played antibirth for like a year before I was able to get afterbirth+. Now this is nothing but nostalgia that brings back memories and ngl... It kinda makes me sad. Good thing it will be in repentance
i am the only one that this song makes my eyes cry of nostalgia?
This is a fucking tour de force. I salute you mudeth
Is "tour de force" really English?
Cuz us, Frenches say that
If yes you teach me something so thx
i like how this song goes to isaac history
This gives me that feeling of when I've never been loved, and I lost my emotions to love...
You're good man?because It passed a year...
You're good man?because it passed two years...
😿
You're good man? because it passed three years...
We lost him
This reminds me of a music box and makes me very sad also.
Whenever i listen to this,i see Isaac alone in his room crying but nobody hears him he gets in the chest and dies from lack of air as the song ends
just realized they changed the name of the song of the siren trinket to the title of this song.
Everytime I hear this song I get the chills
This makes a super good memory (:
1:07 if you listen carefully you can hear isaac cry
Can't believe this was from a mod. Outstanding.
oh this remind me so much the original game
This is so nostalgic.
HOLY SHIT ITS SACRIFICIAL!
Ayy
Oh shit this is the first time I'm hearing this, I still haven't played Antibirth. I've got chills running up and down my spine and I'm tearing the fuck up. Mudeth, Danny, you two are fucking legendary. I love you both.
This is one of the best songs from antibirth.
This sounds so melancholy and good.
best music in antibirth
When I heard this in game and the baby crying in the middle of it I got shivers
This is a perfect arrangement to a perfect melody.
Play this at my funeral.
congrats to mudeth for making the best song in isaac, that is also the perfect fit for it's room type and most "isaac" song in binding of isaac. genuinely (imo)

MUDETH IS A FREAKING GENIUS
I’ve never played Isaac I was watching my brother play it for more than 2 years and it gives me so much nostalgia and emotions I’m in love with this sound
I played antibirth so much that I thought this song was in the actual game
After hearing this I just had to buy the soundtrack
The theme of Lavencas after spending 50% of her run rerolling in a secret room
@@parencolonthree wut
love this song
This song is perfect and i will never forgive them for not including this masterpiece in the game
It's even creepier considering the fact that if you listen closely in the secret room, you can hear a baby crying in the background. Gives me chills.
This theme is called forgotten lubally because it's the original isaac theme
The 13+ dislikes were walls exploded to get to the secret room.
There's not even 13 dislikes on the video. What are you talking about 13+??
Firefeet the dislike was removed
Firefeet I’ll fix it
this Secret Room soundtrack is so good!~
Someone PLEASE make a synthesia of this. Nobody has, and I really want to learn this.
The feels man...
Note: It is highly recommended that you set your Quick Reset Delay to more then 6 seconds to avoid accidentally resetting.
Oh god
the way the sacrificial leitmotif comes in at 0:45 hits way harder than it really should
it's interesting to think that with the release of this and afterbirth plus, that Isaac's story might finally be concluded
+Caden Flanagan afterbirth+'s cut scene is pretty messed up.
Not much more than the rest of em
yeah, the games lore is just pretty morbid.
The story of issacs life, yes, but the story of issac as a whole might not be finished according to Edmund
It's melancholic in the start, but when 0:45 hits... You feel depression and sadness of a 5 year old boy suffocating in a toy box
after 5 years I realize that this song is based on the basement theme of the flash version of TBOI
baby crying in the background, song name is forgotten lullaby, there is a bit of sacrificial in there, all leads that this was isaac's lullaby sang from mom, man this game is fucking sad......
I've forgotten how it feels to be a child. Oh how I miss that time. Now I'm 20 and I know that I will never experience childhood again. Cherish your life people! Life is a wonderful thing and all of us will only have a single chance
I wish I could have cherished childhood, however I have to make the most of now that I'm finally away from my mother.
@@crystallakatos652 MOTHER?? ISAAC?? REFERENGE??
this song just makes me fall in love, I always come to the secret room to listen to this song but now I can listen to it here

Chills all up and down my body
But is this lullaby _truely_ forgotten?
