I vaguely remember riding the Jungle coaster at Legoland Windsor when I was little with the full vehicle cover, Although I don’t properly remember it And honestly kid me could’ve just imagined it (still counting the credit though). While yes the covers were probably a reason why they closed it (This park is visible from Windsor Castle, like all British parks they have a fair share of noise complaints) they also immediately built the Legoland hotel in that location once the ride was gone, so the ride was doomed anyway. Legoland Windsor is finally getting another family Coaster next year, it took them over a decade to finally replace this ride with a equivalent coaster.

It may be childhood nostalgia speaking, but years ago, X-treme Racers at Legoland Billund hadn't had magnetic brakes installed yet, and ran mostly untrimmed, with a serious jolt upon hitting the final brake run (and a matching sound effect, it was clearly intentional). I was majorly disappointed when I returned to find the ride trimmed heavily. But it is Legoland, and the rides have to be appropriate for kids and their parents. Admittedly, the fact that this was a Halloween day might have had an impact, but I'm not sure.
Having only done Legoland Florida, I did notice that it was going slower than others because of the braking. At least it was a walk-on, as was everything else. With Coast Rider, I didn't know about those horrible shin guards when my friend & I rode. We won't be riding it again.

@@CanobieCoaster I know. About 4 years ago I'd only ridden two: both by Herschell and both at Playland in Vancouver. The 1st was the Monster Mouse with exactly the same layout what used to be at Quassy there in the mid-late 70's and the 2nd replaced it, which didn't have the big drop but it had more intense laterals. (there's actually a POV available on UA-cam for that) But that came out AFTER I was tall enough to ride "Coaster" so I no longer cared for a mouse coaster that didn't even hold any significance for me. But that's why four years ago I was surprised to find hundreds of mouse coasters by dozens of manufacturers.
Legoland Florida has dropped the VR on Great Lego Race. I like the first drop but the harsh brakes at the end are so painful.
