Well done , thanks. Looks like a bit of an ejection problem. Wish you lived closer , I have about 1000 rnds I would give you. Egyptian , Yugoslavian and Romanian. (Edit.. and Turkish)Never had a problem with any of it with my k98K
Most of the surplus 8mm available today is rubbish, Most of the steel case manufactured in the 70's is still pretty good however if you can find it. I started only using new production ammo or my own reloads in my old rifles. YMMV but I don't want to risk my rifles or my safety shooting anything from the 40's or 50's. The hay day of cheap plinking ammo for the 8mm is pretty much over.
It’s my opinion that it’s almost all safe to shoot in 98 actions (and most of it’s safe in everything else) but to each their own. Reloading is the next step for me
i can relate i bought a 1944 1000 round 303 brit battle crate, British surplus ammo dried up about 15 years ago i bought this crate to shoot. out of 70 rounds fired 7 click bangs. i have given up on shooting it, it is going to be just for collecting for the ww2 buffs it is in bandoliers of 50 rounds that looks like it was made yesterday, but it is what it is. i do not buy new ammo for it because it is not cheap you blead for it .
I accept your apology, send the muffins of apology to me via mail And you wont please everyone. People are going to complain that you are using aftermarket parts to test ammo
Hi I have kind of a political question I too love Mausers l have a German k 98 1941 Austrian bnz I looked it up it's a concentration camp Mauser for the ss is so marked I am not a Nazi but what do I with this gun burn it it's just a piece of steel wood I have had it for 20 years just found out it's history my surprise what do you think

You seem like a real good man
It’s a choice we have to make every day
It takes a man to admit you were wrong. Keep up the good work.
Thanks!

Good vid, can you post the full surplus czech 7.92 video?
Yes. I’ll have 2 vids on that eventually.

Yeah, that’s the main thing preventing me from getting a .303. Personally, I shoot ammo that has the occasional hangfires just for target practice.
Let him who is without sin case the first stone, keep up the great work 😉
Whoever said that probably knows his stuff. I’ll probably listen to him.
It was Jesus in the book of John 8:7
Yeah man the Egyptian Ammo is usually pretty rough. I just burned through my 800 rounds of the stuff but can't see myself buying any more of it.
Yeah. It all really depends on its storage condition. I was at a gun show where they had just opened a spam can of it, and that stuff shot great!
Good video a lot of editing..... be well.
It did take quite a bit of work. Thanks for recognizing!

Very true. I think this is an improvement since it’s at least consistent and something anyone can buy
@@8mmmauserman I definitely agree

I think keep it. It’s a historical piece. We need to remember things like that to make sure they never happen on our watch.
