    Pattern goes something like:
Cast on and plain knit for was many rows/rounds as you like (I did roughly 68).
    For pattern:
    *Remove yarn from guide.
Beginning with needle 1...wrap the yarn around two needles at a time, advancing the work with the handle...and ending at the last two needles having been wrapped.
    Place yarn back in guide.
Knit 2 rounds of plain knit...ending just before the last needle of the second round of knit.
    Remove yarn from guide.
Wrap the yarn around the last needle and first needle, advancing the work with the handle...ending with one last set of needles having been wrapped. The last needle (#46) will not have been wrapped.
Place the yarn back in guide.
Knit 2 rounds of plain knit...beginning with needle #46 that was left unwrapped.
The pattern now resets, repeat from star as many times as you would like. Finish off with as many plain knit rows as you would like. I did 7 pattern rows and finished with 10 or so more rows of plain knit. (I hope this makes sense!)

Thank you kindly for this video!.. I’ve had my Addi machine for many many years !.. I’ve never did a pattern on it, so thank you. I’ve never made the square knitting on it also !. I’ve did make 2 pairs of long pants (@ least started the pants by doing the legs on the Addi and finish by hand). I also made countless numbers of eternity scarfs/neck gloves and hats to give to charity, friends, family and as gifts. I ABSOLUTELY ❤my Addi. It’s the best 🥰

WOW!! What an amazing video!!!!! Vianney I was enjoying watching so much the time when by so fast. Didn’t seem long to me as it may have to you.. I can’t wait to see the other machine video.. The hat is just gorgeous.. A hat you made yourself.. what more satisfying could you possibly have. TYSM Just to be totally upfront. I have never picked up a knitting needle. Never purchased a “bolt” of yarn. ( that would be in my 68 years old) Learned something new is so much fun. Your videos are on the mark.. very best for learning from the beginning. ❤

Vianney: WOW THANK YOU for this very thorough video of setting up and making a beautiful hat, love your style you have a special way connecting with those of us you are teaching. Ordered a 46 pin Addi yesterday and after watching this tutorial of yours I am confident with patience I can learn to use and enjoy my Addi. I crochet hats to donate to Cancer Patients really for anyone that needs a hat I can not crochet fast enough so this is my motivation to learn. Thank you again and have a wonderful 2024.

I am so glad I learned knit and crochet as a young person...it would definitely be much harder for me now. Hey, Sue...I saw your last comment asking about my gorgeous cutting! She did so well, but unfortunately the cutting began getting that weird like skeletal veining. I don't know how to better describe it, and she didn't make it. I don't know if it's a bug we have out here, bc it has happened to some of my other succulent type plants.

Too funny! I do see there are a handful of people who make videos on the long/flat knitting machines. Not quite tutorials, so they aren't my favorite to watch. I think my machine just makes like a "fatter" knit and it's not my preference. I wish the stitch were thinner and more refined.

How many circular rounds would you do before the pattern stitches? How many rounds of the pattern & 2 rows of knitting do you do before going back to circular kniiting? Then, how many final rounds do you do of circular knitting before casting off?

    • @VianneyCreates
      @VianneyCreates  8 місяців тому

Unfortunately, it is different machines for different sizes. Although some people say if you use the different tension settings (like choosing one of the little holes over another in that yarn holder) you can get a slightly smaller or larger hat. I don't really see the difference.
