Oh no, way more people like their grain extra spicy than I had originally thought 😬😦
39 white claws and counting :’)
I like my grain extra spicy! 🤣Dude I love the pics of the houses starting at 10:12 the colors are awesome and with it being at night makes it stand out really well!
@@peterivan22 hahah thank you man! Love those pictures as well. Snow reflected light is always fun to shoot.
I love that you include the mess-ups and accidents in these videos. It's refreshing. It is very relatable as I'm sure most of your viewers have similar experiences.
Most importantly though, you get upset, you get over it, and you keep going. It's great. Keep up the awesome work Brae. Your videos are authentic and I look forward to them. The effort you put into them definitely shows. :)
Thanks so much for the kind words, Joshua. Glad you enjoyed the video and really appreciate you taking the time to watch. Happy New Year 🎉👊🏻
Brae’s frustrated reactions are just priceless 😂 i wish i could record them and play them back whenever i need to
Hahaha they happen OFTEN
Mamyia.... Simple twist of the back and solid as a rock.. beautiful BEAUTIFUL video and images are a welcome plus. You video style is awsome
Haha you’re not wrong… and thank you sir!
This one was right up my alley! Loved the shots! And I totally know the feeling when you were talking about that double exposure image. Idk how many times I’ve come up with a plan and just not executed it with my camera settings before taking the shot😂😅
Haha isn't it funny how that works 😂 You'd think after making the same mistake 50 times you'd learn... 😭😅
Beautiful pictures! Lot of Nick Carver vibes
Thanks !
11:04 god i love that frame so much. Dunno why but it reminded me of visiting my grandparents on christmas eve I don´t know how long ago. Kind of odd how pictures can do that sometimes.
Great video btw!
So cool. Love that. Hope all is well brotha 👊🏻
Great video man! Those last two photos were probably my favourite.
Mine as well :) thanks for watching!
I like that picture man... Looks AMAZING
just bought a pentax 6x7 last night, cant wait to get it and go out to shoot :) incredible work as usual brae
Oh enjoy! 🤠
Stoked to see your approach to youtube videos Brae- its so easy to doge all the mistakes you make as a photographer but its super refreshing and admirable to see that you include them and tell a story form start to finish- not shy to show the process! The last frame of the old car is killer man keep it up!
'I like my grain extra spicy'- there's one for the list :D
Thank you Vinnie! Really appreciate the feedback. Cheers!
some amazing work as usual. makes me super excited to visit washington this year for the first time!
Thanks! What time are you visiting? That'll be awesome!
@@BraeHunziker hopefully in october time! i wanna visit twin peaks in that crisp autumn air!
Man I love that shot of the car both of them are beautiful man. Literally had my shutter cable lock up and shoot exactly the same way the other night-too many things to think about with these cameras. Beautiful stuff as always Brae 🔥
Haha for real! Too much to think about sometimes. Oh well. It happens!
Iceland is beautiful in the winter, should be a great trip.
That’s what I hear. Thanks Toby!
loving the videos mr brae
Thank you :)
First few nights of that Storm were super fun!
Right? I actually enjoyed the snow sticking around for a while haha
@@BraeHunziker seeing my neighborhood photographed in film is a real treat especially in the snow 👍
Love the colour choices you made in these edits mate. Appreciating the Nick Carver esque crop on the gas station shot too.
Aye thank you brother!
I like my grain extra spicy, also happy new year! loved the video, jealous of snow scenes you're getting
haha thank you! Happy New Year to you as well!
Lovely stuff once again Brae. Appreciate the effort in those conditions especially shooting both photo & video. Extra spicy you say🌶🔥
Haha thank you!! 🤠
Oh deer. I always struggle with composition, but you do it so...flowingly, if that's a word. Recently got a Pentax K1000 and some Kodak Gold - so thank you for the continued inspiration!
Let’s go! What a great combo. Enjoy!
RIP Pentax 67ii. Here's to a speedy recovery for the gear mate.
Thank you brotha 🙏🏻
I love extra spicy grain. Loved the video (as always), and hope the trips go great and make for a ton of content :D
Why thank you!!
Great content! Dope exposures!
Thank you!
The Pentax greatest flaw is the giant SLR system. Makes me appreciate my Rolleiflex
Haha yeah that shake is wild
I like my grain EXTRA spicy! Killer video and great images as always Brae. Thanks 😊
Haha thank you brotha!
I like my grain extra spicy 🌶🤯
Great video that shows that cool photos can be taken in otherwise unremarkable neighborhoods when you’ve got the eye.
An inspiration als always 🤩
Ah thank you Christian!
This 21/9 format for the video is awesome (OK I do have a 21/9 screen). Loved it.
Glad to hear that 🤠
I'm crossing my fingers that the snow makes it's way to the UK, but rarely does in the region I live it. I'll just have to cross my toes as well.
Haha the crossed toes will surely work though!
I too like my grain extra spicy. 110 cartridges or nothing 😂 Great vid man!
Ahahaha let’s go now we are talking! True spice lord 🥵
I was disappointed at the beginning of the video when your big announcement was not "I have some bidets to give away"...
You got some very nice shots there! Next time it snows here I really got to go out and shoot!
Lol I was thinking the same thing! Would be hilarious if it actually happens 😂
Hahaha 😂😂 working out the logistics 👀
I like my grain extra spicy. Really loved the last image of the day! It feels like a still life painting
Ah thanks so much Michael!
I like my grain extra spicy haha ! I really love your job, I from Paris but it’s a dream to make a photographie trip with you man. By the way I like your blurred photos 😄
Ah thanks so much! Appreciate that 🤠👊🏻
I love my grain extra spicy 😏
Awsome video ! Your videos are becoming more and more cinematic I love it 🙌
Great to see you fail as well !
Thanks so much!
Awesome. I'm amazed how much the light in the sky is balanced with the ambient lit subjects closer in. You could just make a video talking about how you do that that. (I like my grain extra spicy).
One of my favorite aspects of night photography is when the light in the sky is balanced with the light of subjects. Makes for such interesting photos! A video on that subject might be quite interesting 🤔
The cropped first image is giving off big Nick Carver vibes
Great video man. And I like my grain extra spicy! 🌶🌶🌶
Haha thank you!!!!
Hey man, I used to live in Washington and desperately want to return to the PNW. Great video man
Love it up here! Thank you :)
Brae doing a Nick Carver on Garrys, gotta love it!
The ol 6x17 style 🤠
Love the photos. Maybe one day you’ll make an urban landscape book.
However, I like my grain extra spicy.
Haha thank you, you would like it spicy… 😅💀
I like my grain extra spicy 🍺, awesome content!
Hahah thank you Gustavo!
BING bong!
Which degen is this
Take your time when choosing your subjects
Patience is your friends indeed
*looks at snow in Southern Californian* 🥲✨
Hahaha get up here!
Hey Brae one thing that I noticed is that you have a camera strap still on your camera when it's on the tripod. Especially with wind this could be responsible for the weird motion blur as well. I know the Pentax is heavier than a small child but if you know it'll be on the tripod just take it off. When I shot a lot of digital images I stopped putting a strap on my cameras all together because it added a lot of shake!
That's a great tip. Thank you Tom!
So me being me and always way too worried about other peoples thoughts in certain situation I would find it very interesting if you made a video and at least touched on the topic of your wildest/most aggressive people encounters. Anyways, another vid well done Brae.
Thanks for the suggestion!
Ah like my grain extra extra spicy!
Too many people like their grain spicy !!! 😅😬
I like my grainy days… I mean my grain extra spicy!
Not wrong 😂
Best of luck with all of those "I like my grain extra spicy 🍺"
I’m in over my head
I love this video and I constantly think. Do people just not care when you're outside? I always want to do this in some neighborhoods in my town and I feel like it wouldnt go over well.
Totally get where you are coming from. Helped that this was in the middle of the night so good chance everyone was asleep/couldn’t see me outside anyway. But it’s always a bit awkward and uncomfortable until you own up to it and just be confident in what you are doing because you know your intentions are good and legitimately doing nothing wrong. If someone does approach or question you, just display that confidence in a polite and honest way. Most of the time people will be cool with it! At least in my experience.
I like my grain extra spiceyyyyyyyyyy
oh god ya
I like my grain extra spiceyyyyyyy
🥵🥵😅
I like my grain extra spicy. And my Hunziker extra White Clawed
I shall be clawed deep into oblivion. Can’t wait
Hi really like your trip out in the snow with the P67, but on the one with the street sign you complained about "classic Pentax mirror slap" but why didn't you lock the mirror up first?
Mind you it looked so cold I would have forgotten too.
The mirror was locked up on all of these shots, still got some shake :/
You’re my favorite, lol
Why thank you!
good -catch you later. myd ear-))
Holy shit, I want to return to Iceland!
So stoked to check it out!
@@BraeHunziker I got into photography because I wanted a better camera to take with me to Iceland. I got into film photography because I couldn't afford a digital camera. The images I took in Iceland are still some of my best.
@@jankubat2694 That's so cool, I love that!
I like my grain with all the spice
Oh mamacita 🥵
I like my grain extra spicy! HNY!
HNY enjoy that GRAIN 🤠
I like my green extra spicy. That's all thank you.
Hahaha let’s go 😂
I'll be honest I was out of it (have food poisoning) and thought you said green not grain hahaha was confused but made sense to me
Hey man, new to the channel. Great shots! Do you meter with a dedicated meter?
Thanks Joel! I just use an app on my phone called My Light Meter Pro
What light meter app do you use? The photos came out beautiful
My Light Meter Pro
How do you just approach homes and set up a tripod to take photos? The few times I’ve tried I’ve gotten people slightly upset coming out their home although I was quite as I possibly could be.
It helped that this was in the middle of the night, but otherwise I just go into it knowing my intentions and that truthfully, I’m doing nothing wrong. Be confident and if confronted, honest and polite. 9/10 times it all ends well 👍🏻
What kind of tripod are you using? I am choosing a tripod for my Pentax 6x7 MLU. Could you suggest some good but not very expensive models that would hold such a lot of weight well?
I just have a neewer carbon fiber but it struggles with the weight so not sure I’d recommend it
Nice vid. I like my grain extra spicy 🌶🌶🌶
This is not looking good for me :’)
I like my grain, extra spicy!
Spice gang unite!
Broke my veriable nd... The 3 stop is a good video ND, right? Just set limits on my iso and use auto iso, right??
3 stop is good for video for sure. I go manual settings but if you’re shooting in variable lighting then yes auto iso should work!
Question for you Brae: how do you transport that big honkin camera and its lenses around in your car without worrying about banging it into stuff? Also that shutter click is creamy af and should be illegal lol
I lay my camera bag down in the backseat and just leave it open for quick access, but a lot of the time stuff is sliding and banging around lol, hard to avoid. I wedge the tripod between the front seat and back seat and it seems to stay relatively secure.
And yeah that shutter is glorious haha
Why didn’t you use the mirror lock up? It’s so much more usable on the 67II
Oh I did for all these haha
I like my grain extra spicy. I mean, who doesnt?
Amen to that 🥵
I like my grain extra spicy!
Wonderful :’)
I like my grain extra spicy! Haha! You’re welcome. 🤍
Queuing up another white claw 😅
@@BraeHunziker hope you’re feeling better too! Sucks to catch that thing twice. Really appreciate all the effort that goes into these vids!
@@stephendandrea5164 All good, the second time around was much more mild. Thanks for the well wishes!
@@BraeHunziker glad to hear! 💪
I like my grain extra spicyyyy
I love that :’)
I have a Pentax 67 also and recently I haven’t been as happy with it as I was initially. The design of the camera really has quite a lot of compromises that limit my photography. Not sure if I should sell it, don’t know what I would even get instead.
If your style of photography is similar to his, I’d honestly suggest a Mamiya 7/7ii. For landscape/suburban scapes and night shots on a tripod it’s really excellent. If you do some portraiture though it won’t top your Pentax.
@@hellatightdude I would never buy a Mamiya 7, too expensive for my tastes. For portraiture the Pentax isn’t even very good. The slow flash sync is a big bummer. If anything I wish I could afford a hasselblad. That would be at the top of my list
@@davidm5790 I wouldn’t say it’s bad, it’s just limited. But in the right circumstances it’s fantastic. If you’re cool with 6x6, how about bronica?
The Bronica gs-1 and sq are both incredibly versatile systems. Relatively small for medium format systems and both have excellent leaf shutter glass that can be synced at any speed.
i like mah grain EXTRA SPICY
Oh god 😅
Hi Brae, what lens did you use in these photos? Thanks
I believe he said he used the 55mm f4
