    Note- I forgot to mention I am running the zero degree transducer mount. I recommend anyone that has the transducer mounted on a pole to do the same, it makes it a lot easier to be able to cast your lure exactly where you want it.

      The transducer kit comes standard with an 8 degree mount (it did when I got it). The idea of the 8 degree mount is so the beam would miss the electric motor when mounted on the electric motor shaft. You can order the 0 degree mount direct from Garmin AU.

    Great Vid, definitely learned how to set up my Garmin Ultra HD’s. Makes sense that’s for sure using the TD in forward position. I’ve used the Panoramic view and have it showing well on the screen.
    One question is the LS34 a huge step up from the LS32?

      Great stuff, I havn't had much of a play with perspective view. I probably should give it another run, I find it doesn't suit my fishing style very well.
      There is a bit of difference, its a clearer image with a bit more depth to the image, its got a bit more of a 3d feel to the image. Having said that being able to dial in which ever transducer you have is of far greater importance.

    With your transducer pole being on the right I'm just wondering if your right handed or left.
    Do you cast with your right or left.
    I'm just in the process of mounting my pole and I'm wondering what is best ?

      @@DanWebberFishing it sure is mate, the detail I’m seeing now, in perspective mode is a hell of a lot better, but as you’ve found, forward view is a lot better to find and follow the fish on a snag or in a hole moving about. Thanks again mate

    Cheers for the clip mate. Do you find the new transducer a massive step up?

    • @DanWebberFishing
      @DanWebberFishing  Рік тому +1

      It’s not a massive difference, it’s far more important to know how to get the best out of your unit and then work on the techniques to get the bites.

    Gday Dan, how fast can you go with the transducer still in the water?

    • @DanWebberFishing
      @DanWebberFishing  Рік тому +1

      I don’t know what speed I’d be doing but as long as I give the ram a good tighten up when I drop it in I can go flat out with the electric without any trouble, that’s as fast as I’ve tried it.

  • @glennmcintosh6833

    How critical is having you pole perfectly vertical when using ?

    • @DanWebberFishing
      @DanWebberFishing  Рік тому +2

      It’s not absolutely critical as long as you keep in mind it can affect where the beam is shooting a little. What ever tilt you have in the pole will tilt the beam angle, so if you are pointing at a target that is 15 metres from the boat and 5 metres down and make a cast, you may see it hit the water on your screen but then it may fade out of the shot as it sinks. Or the opposite may happen where you may not see your lure at first and then it will come into the shot as it sinks because it enters the beam. The beam angle is fairly narrow so the more you can do to increase the accuracy the better, which is why I also run the 0 degree mount.
      I hope that makes sense.
