I saw this the first time in the 19th Century. Return to Nature! He speaks of "healthy cultures" but not of civilization and virtue. He speaks of "vision" and "revelation". That means founding a new religion, or just feel good gobbledeegook.

industrial collapse will happen anyway, the question is how to collectively navigate through it, reducing damage and adapting... serene degrowth, ecosocialism...

he does not exhibit the conviction that comes from living what he talks about. This man is a total product of the "culture" he claims to revile and has no first experience is what he claims to advocate.

Perhaps the soft spoken-ness emerges from his extensive work on himself rather than the false ego conviction we see so much of

@@redefinedliving5974 Read "Soulcraft" if you haven't, it's genius. Plotkin's forays into the domain of soul were partly in response to not getting a lot of value with regards to the Soulful domain via the Buddhist and other Eastern traditions. We are not only universal awareness or Buddha Nature, we are also individual Souls--unique waves on the Ocean

@@deepsupport11 That's true. I've long since branch out from my studies of Buddhism. I've been into astrology and the occult stuff and getting more into shamanism and I can see the parallels with my limited knowledge of Plotkin's work. Will definitely dig deeper!
