- In this tutorial, I show you how to make use of random event spawning to force the Responder's Vendor Bot to spawn outside of Charleston Station! This vendor has the possibility to stock the Hunter's Long Coat cosmetic, a highly sought after rare cosmetic that various viewers have asked me how to get.

I went looking for it I found a way to make the vendor spawn more often face the pond from the Charleston station turn left walk up the hill to the bridge Walk 3/4 of the way across the bridge, wait 25 seconds and then turn and walk back,, for me it it worked I had him spawn three times in a row I got the Hunter's long coat I also got the clean space suit as well this week
James G. Interesting! Any more do’s and don’ts on this one? For example, I had mutant hounds spawn and after your trick it did spawn some new enemies near the bridge but the bodies of the hounds where still there. Does this prevent a new “event” spawning?
I did this and the vendor bot spawned directly beneath the bridge!

I don't get how this is better??? I thought it cut out server hopping, nope still have to do that, and it's a longer trek than the one described in video. Can someone explain this, does it increase the chances of getting the vendortron? Is that the point? Lol
Edit: In all honesty, I have yet to spawn any random encounters this way, whereas they will spawn when using the method in the video
It’s not based on the Longshoreman outfit from fallout 4, it’s based on Longfellow’s coat (the hunters long coat) from fallout 4. Not just based on-literally IS that. They just reused the item

Doesn't look like this trick works anymore. I can get the Eyebot, but unless I'm wearing a Responders uniform, it blows me off.
Incase anyone didn’t know there is a second location to find the Responder which is near the Lady Janet's Soft Serve (North in between the Forest and Savage Divide near Tyler County Fairgrounds)

I got it! After like 400 switches. For some reason people keep building bases right there where the spawn is, which prevents it from spawning. I destroyed a whole base and got 400 cap bounty :|
Yeah, if someone has their base around that area, it will stop the event spawn all together. Though, mind you breaking their base won’t change that as it’s based off their CAMP being located nearby, not their building.

Just used my jet pack and spring trap to go FLYING!! it still works!!!
you are mistaken, just because there is a responder vendor in whitesprings does not mean its the same, this particular vendor only spawns at random events, nearly always have special clothing, (nearly) but only blueprints this one have are a Nuka cola clock and a koo koo clock thats all, i can confirm this as i got the longcoat here today.
There is 6 different places in the forrest region that I know of where you can make him spawn.
This video helped me out a shit ton but the only problem is getting him to spawn with the coat. I've been trying for 5 hours straight and no dice. So if anyone on PS4 has it, please tell me because I'm losing faith and willpower
Hey, you’ve got this. My advice, do it during down times where you aren’t focusing on other things, but don’t solely focus on farming the coat. It WILL come to you eventually, but sometimes it can take time. Best way to do it, do the farming method a few times before you log off for the night. Nothing crazy, just a few here and there to see what you get. It breaks up the monotony some
Can you do this to spawn Grahm as well or is there a better spot for spawning Grahm?

I keep getting him to spawn but not with the coat, he always spawns grey fishing outfits, clean space helmets/suits, civil war outfits and clean straight jackets

After a few hours of trying to get it to spawn in, it works. As I'm walking up to the vend-bot someone shoots and kills it. Smdh.
Happened to me just after I got the clothing items ..... unfortunately didn't get the rare blueprints
Nice got it first try, he had 20 long coats on him for 10 caps each but I just bought half of them and left, pretty cool I guess.

Update: i Just got it off of a settler trader that spawns randomly. it was 740caps with my applies discount skills.

Nah, it just takes a while, it’s completely RNG.
I got it to work on another location but I could never get that one location to work. I had to go to the ski lodge at the bottom left of the forest. Worth the time and every cap.

An update, this thing was such a pain to get even one of... took me a good 3 weeks to get the three I needed.
It shall be put up for 10k, no more no less... That's the price I see everyone selling them for anyways, I'll either be rewarded for the time and annoyance I went though to get it or I'll have a really nice coat in my shop from now on. (Or I'll have a really expensive bartering chip.)

Ugh I finally got the vendor to spawn after three days of server hopping and he only had two clean space Helmets...
(I did get the two rare clock plans from him though and I somehow already knew both of them, so I'll try to sell them in my shop for a couple thousand.)

What does the responser eye bot do?
Responder Eyebots are mostly useless and don’t do much. They sometimes show up by themselves as separate random events (such as the pied piper event shown in the video), but sometimes two of them will show up with the vendor bot. It doesn’t affect the vendor bot in any way, it’s just a good way to tell he is there sometimes.

I can confirm that they patched out team farming this guy. He dies when the person who found him logs. Oddly the pack brahmin and eye bots dont.
You can still hop servers to find him though, right?
@@HydeOnlineOfficial As far as I can tell. Edit: yeah you can still server hop to get it to spawn. It took me about 5 hours across two sessions of server hopping to get it to spawn. He had the coat on the 14th time he spawned. I figure that means I had about average luck.
So basically the video here didn’t change, it’s just the extra bit that people were doing themselves got patched. Lol, got me worried that I needed to redo the whole video. Thank you for the heads up though, I might make a quick video soon to explain the patched parts.

Now in 2022 "Players tend to sell it for about a 1000 or 2000 caps a piece" sounds like a tall tale. :D Try 25 000. Needless to say I'll be serverhopping no matter how many years it takes, rather than contribute to this rubbish economy. lol
Actually, it got easier to find after Wastelanders came out due to more random event spawn locations being put in game, so the economy for the coat is pretty stable now. A quick look through a couple reddit markets for 76 shows the average price for it right now is about 2-3k, so don’t ever pay much more than that.
@@HydeOnlineOfficial lol, yeah I found the merchant literally less than 30 mins after making the initial comment, with this guide. Making 3000 caps takes longer than that.

@@HydeOnlineOfficial Hey thanks to your video, I did! It's a sweet piece of apparel for sure! Though I'd add that you can speed up the process by running back across the longer bridge in the opposite direction. There are 3 spawn locations in that short spread of tracks. :) 1 at the shack, 1 in between the two bridges and one after the long bridge.
