I totally impulse-bought the Zebra Sarasa Dry Gel pen too, and I have to say that it isn't as "dry" as I thought it was going to be, but it's definitely better than other gel pens! The 04 size is just perfect. I also really love the uni jetstream and the uniball needle point! Thanks for sharing your set up! The Cousin and Weeks have been such game changers for my planning too (:
Suggestion for your sticker placement on the cover. If you place the sticker between the clear cover and the actual cover it should stay in place and still provide some decoration while you decide on things.
I thought about that. I may end up doing that if I get tired of seeing a plain cover page while I am trying to figure out what stickers I want to display.
Thanks for sharing! I did the same and have the clear cover and the joynote cover on top (my eyes nearly fell out of my head when I saw how affordable these covers were. I got two, gray & brown) and I put stickers on the front too, I just waited till I had ones I really liked. All that to say, using the yearly as a habit tracker is genius and the top 100 as a book track *chefs kiss*. I am definitely going to do that now. Just a suggestion, to reinforce the tabs use a bit of clear scotch tape and they last the whole year, through everything, with little damage. I used tiny scissors to cut down the excess ✌🏽+❤
The majority of my stickers are from TheCoffeemonsterzco or stickers that I made from my own Etsy shop (DiezelCreations). I don’t have a lot of stickers on my shop right now but plan on making more in 2024. If there are any stickers you would be interested in, let me know and I can see about making them. Thanks for watching!!!
@@heidisplanning I’m starting my Hobonichi journey and I’m so glad I found your videos. I found the Muji pens by chance and very quickly they became my favorites! Definitely try them ❣️
I bought a cover on Amazon before I got my hobonichi one and it fit perfectly but as soon as I put the clear cover on, it no longer fit in the sleeve. I am not familiar with the Have a nice day cover but I am assuming that is the same situation you are having. I am not sure what can be done to make it fit…
@@heidisplanning Yes, that's exactly my case! It seems to fit in the colored Hobonichi covers (they show them on UA-cam everywhere) but apparently the Have a Nice Day cover is designed to fit the planet tight without a cover .. ☹️
@@AlexandraTejero That sucks...I think I went through 2-3 covers and had to return them because they were not made for the planner to have a clear cover.
@@AlexandraTejero I honestly don't. I am using the Hobonichi grey cover and I also have a JoyNote cover that fit the Hobonichi with a clear cover but not sure of others. I did buy Traverers Notebook A5 that I ended up returning because it didn't fit (was really tight and might have fit once the leather stretched but didn't want to test it). I would suggest just watching other people's youtube channels to see if they reference the cover they are using. Sorry I can't be more help. This is my first year with Hobonichi so I don't have alot of knowledge on it yet.
Totally off topic but your manicure is lovely!
Thank you!! I was actually wearing some press on nails because I was in between a nail appointment! Glad they looked good though!
Hello new subscriber friend! I’m so excited to watch More of your videos!
Yay! Thank you!
Great video - love that cover
Thanks so much!
New subscriber here. Loving the content. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you!!!
Thanks for sharing! I've been on the fence about the Cousin, since I've used a Weeks for a few years now.
This is the first time using a hobonichi and I can’t wait until January when I can start planning!!!!
Helen from TCMC uses a Pentel Energel Clena which has a needle tip. Although any energel will do as the ink is the same :)
That will probably be my next pen purchase. I have a stationary buying problem…😉
@@heidisplanning Don’t we all? 🤣🤣
You can use Un Do and reposition those two tabs you don't like.
Interesting. I have made peace with the location of my tabs but I will remember that for next year!!!
You're nails look great 👍
Thank you!!!!
The stickers are adorable
💕
I love everything about this setup! Definitely going to be taking some tips, especially with the habit tracker :)
Thanks. Hopefully everything works out when I actually start planning in January!

I think I may use the Sarasa Dry starting out because I love the look it has on the paper. I think it dries quickly enough and so far hasn’t smeared.

totally tempting me to use a Hobonichi despite having a perfectly good Day-timer set-up,lol
Lol. I cannot wait to use it starting in January!! Time cannot go by fast enough!
this agenta is so pretty

Good call on the tape on the tabs. I know they will take damage but if I can minimize it that would be great!! Thanks!
I never seen someone use the year overview pages as a habit tracker. Nice.
Thanks…we will see how well it works out!
Omg i NEED ❤️
💕
This is the reason why I haven’t purchased tabs. It is hard to place on equally and evenly. The placement of sticky notes is a great idea. 💋
Tabs are definitely frustrating!
Where’d you get the cute stickers?

Have you tried the Muji Gel Ink Ball Point Pens? Also, love love this! ❤
I have not tried them…yet. I saw Helen using them in her coffeemonsterzco videos and really want to try them out. I’ll probably buy those soon!

Great tracker idea! What are the “almost circle” 😉 stickers you use for the monthly events?

I have a question…. Is there any glue that works well with the Hobonichi for ephemera attaching?
I honestly don’t know. Maybe someone else can chime in???
Hi!! I bought the clear cover but now it doesn't fit into my Have a nice day cover?? 😨 How is that possible?
