yay you are my favourite content creator so will watch you no matter what
The Copic Ciao look more realistic and high quality even though the colors aren't as bright. The cheap markers look more cartoony in ink style.
Glad I found you. Will be spreading the word 👍
@@Actionnelll yeah i agree

Do baki with uni Posca vs Copic
Moral of the story: Markers don't matter if ur too good at colouring.
Life lesson actually, equipment doesn’t matter as much if the skillset and experience is there.
Fact
@@DakaONER94 yeah correct but that doesn't go for felt markers those are like bad quality for a good artist because they can't layer they rip the page so it does matter about markers all u need is just a decent quality marker to create fine art. Also I used to have those felt markers when I was like 5 years old so I guess I've made my point of why you should have at least have a decent quality.
Exactly
If it works, it will do
The blending was beautiful with the expensive markers but the colors of the cheap markers are just so bright and vibrant
I agree
I agree the face says it all
Colouring in
overtime those are not archival tho. so not worth it. your art will be ruined :((

The felt markers: green. Green? Green!
Copic markers: light sea jade. Pine forest during dawn. Confused tree slug.

YES.
Wait til they start getting comfortable with 3..remember when youtube never had ads?
They want you to buy UA-cam premium

UA-cam will soon be known for ads just like MTV was known for music videos but now known for "reality" television.
The cheap side looks amazing, it gave the artwork that old school comic book style which the expensive side couldn't achieve
I agree completely, the cheap side was also sooooo pigmented and looked incredibly gorgeous
But copic is the best
@@franzfries8837 Copic might be a high end art supply but that doesn't mean everyone will like the expencive side as much
@@Ulvejenta you can make better artwork with it and make it look like it’s pooping out of the paper

Cheap ones look more nostalgic, cartoony and bright
Oh hey not real person
Please if you want to comment solve this:
I love The Joker but this would have been an EPIC Two-Face coloring challenge. ;)
Honestly, I like the felt ones more. They way the markers ate at the paper makes his suit look like it’s made of wool.
You know what that is pretty ground breaking you can use those markers for clothes that is “furry”-ish

Art is such a beautiful and intriguing thing, the sky is really the limit. One thing I find really cool about it is that it the quality of the product doesn’t matter, it’s what the artist does with it. Ugh I love it so much.

The hair on the left side really sticks out to me I wish he had spent more time on it like he did on the right. Left= prettier, brighter colors. Right=smoother gradient. Cheap definitely gets the job done if you can’t afford the nicer
I love the vibrancy of the cheap but the smoothness of the expensive. 😂😂
You’re right, you definitely need more than just that set. I personally prefer to go to a store with Copics and pick out my own colors. Which is what I did to make my own color sets. You made both sides look fantastic. And I thought you did really well with the felt tip markers despite how torn up the paper was when you showed us the close up.
I love this! You made a great comment! I agree with you! Thank you!
@@onpalmer0 thank you, I’m glad we can all find this video entertaining and I’m glad you found my comment agreeable.
Your welcome. Hope you have a fantastic life.
I did a big comment earlier.
Cheap pens. Both. Copics.
That was how I organized it. All my opinion about this.
I have seen some youtubers who find less better. But most people find more better.
Going to be completely honest, I actually like how the LEFT side with the cheap markers looks. As a whole piece.
The copic side colors looks cleaner, and the COLORS look better, but I think the overall piece on the left appealed to me more.
Its the not the marker its the one who wield the marker and the skill they possess🗡️✍️
honestly for the sake of his clothing being fabric, the felt markers make it look cooler by roughing up the paper. it gives it more of an unclean cloth vibe. almost like its an older coat thats been used relentlessly and has lint and cotton strands everywhere. it gives it a tad bit more character to this depiction of the joker and makes him feel more dirty and uncaring about his own appearance.
No it doesn’t look like damaged art work it looks like you don’t know what clothes looks like😡😠😡😠😡😠

I really like what you did with the hair, eye and mouth on the Copics-Half but for the rest I have to admit I like the cheep version better. Especially for a maniac like Joker the more "screaming" tones of them are so fitting. I just don´t understand why so much of the standard Felt Tip Pens crumble off the paper. I mean the broad Tip of - in this case - the Copics is quite stiff too and does not cause that much damage of the paper surface...
Someone ever checked out if it isn´t that massive when you let the felt tips dry up a bit before apply the next color layer?
In the Black & White stage I thought, that Joker would wear frame-less Glasses. Turns out it is just a massive snarl.
I recommend not getting packs of Copics, but getting individual markers. I dunno watch Jazza’s video on it. I don’t even have Copics...

Simple Friends Thanks bro 😁👍
@@spankyshanky you're welcome btw ya like jaaazzzzzz
Simple Friends oof ya got me there
I started with a set of greys and practiced b+l shading
Then I bought skin tones. The thing with copics is you've got to build a collection slowly, beginning with the essentials
From a distance the cheap have such a vibrant and bright color. It looks like an actual comic book
What you did with the cheap felts is just amazing, you captured the jokers personality so damn well with those blue tones
Hands down the outcome from the copic markers is way better... however, I cannot refrain from saying that you made a great job with the cheaper markers. It makes me feel like doing the same with the set of cheaper markers from a local market vs my pro-brush markers :-) Keep up the awesome content and looking forward to more cheap vs expensive comparisons. Cheers!
Honestly, the felt markers are so stylized that I love them more than the Copics-- even if I do love the blended look of them. The Joker was definitely a good pic for that grainy look the felt has, because he certainly looks better with that grimy, dirty style.
I honestly love what you managed to do with the cheap felt-tip pens, it's amazing! Copics are great for a soft and cute sort of style because you can make them look so smooth. But you can also do a lot with cheap supplies.
I absolutely loved the cheap markers here. They really surprised me with the vibrant colors.
Prediction: "I'm going to guess that expensive is more technically impressive, but that Cheap will have a more chaotic, Joker-like aesthetic."
Reality: I think I got it right.
Although I completely understand your reasoning, I do wish you'd try one where the expensive markers are allowed to find their own style instead of mimicking the cheap ones. Or start with the expensive ones and see how well the cheap ones can duplicate that style.
Is it fair to the cheap markers? Probably not, but it would be closer to a real world use case.
I think that's far more reasonable. As it is, he's setting the copics for failure in a forced way
not gonna lie, copic markers seems a little washed out...
Thats cuz he picked washed out colours to match the style😑🤷♀️
It was the set he used. They have a LOT of different sets, divided into many categories/themes. Just looking at the set breakdown on their site, you can see they have vibrant colors. copic.jp/en/product/sketch/
A combination of 36 Color Set C and D. Includes a wide range of neutral colors.

I have the Set A and they are not that washed out :)

I appreciate the art supply unboxing asmr. It made the creative bits in my brain tingle. I love the vibrancy of the cheap markers, but the smoothness of the copic markers
So much more depth on the right side. Its Absolutely amazing.
This was my first video I’ve watched of yours and I clicked on it because of how good the thumbnail looked. The way you made the worst markers on the planet create really cool artwork is amazing. Better than anyone else could’ve done 👏👏👏
I’m extremely shocked when I saw that you did not have more followers because you’re so talented
I love how much support you are giving to this amazing artist. Or should I say ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC ARTIST!
He got out the lines u know(slaps face)🙄🙄🙄
@@dodgerb71 and?
I have to admit that my eye keeps being drawn to to cheap side. The depth of color is a big draw. But, when you get close, the bits of paper pulled up by the markers are a bit of a turn off. Still, I think the cheap side does look better just because the colors are there.
I remember when ‘art attack’ on its own was a tv show for kids on CITV lol
DANG !
I just watched all this series, and I thought, "nah , he aint gonna use the REAL cheap ones"
AND YOU DID!😂
Im so proud of you for doing this !🤗
As a parent, ( but still an artist), we all buy these first for our kids, as we are never sure if they'll colour in, or try and feed them to the dog .
This is the best comparison video yet!
Nooo!
I was kinda hoping for more Ohuhu, they’re my favourite markers..
10:30 i like the Joker face's blue Shade on cheap marker side
True artists create/improvise their own art supplies.
".....Absolutely horrible!" You make me laugh haha 😂 love your work man, you help me with the shading ideas ✌🏼
Oh wow 52 seconds ago! I'm so early, hahaha! Have been waiting for this video for so long! I got Copics recently and I love them (I got Set A which had every colour I could want), but the Ohuhu markers seem pretty good to me!
I'm not sure if you can compare water based against alcohol based, but I still enjoyed this!
My daughter and I agreed that the blending of the high-end markers was great but that right side just didn't pop as much as the Left side cheapos and they looked a little washed out. It would have been interesting if the B pack HAD contained a black, if the completeness of the right side would have been a lot better?
Overall we slightly preferred the cheapo Left side.
My daughter is so creative, she said he could wait until the left side dried then used a toothbrush to gently brush away the chunky bumpy lumps of residue paper on the Left side? I guess there may be a risk of white patches left underneath?
He chose a more nuetral toned pack when it came to the copics, which would have been better for different scenes and characters. If he chose a more vibrant copic pack, it would have been a better color comparison.
Anyone remember toss the turtle and the art style? Left side looks like the artists of toss the turtle got their hands on some joker stuff. And I love IT!
can we just talk about how he manages to not hit that duck statue lmao
I love all your videos because they are fun, joyful and informative, I really hope you bring back the children colouring books series 😍😊
The hair and clothes on the right were incredible.
The left side face though was my favorite.
Love the shadow work here ! so well done!
I watched the stream and said your dbz shirt was fire and asked where the pen was from
I really like the way u used the cheap markers I think that style even tho it ripped up the paper looks really cool 🤙
A watercolor/heavy duty mixed media paper would probably help with the tearing.
Love these videos ! You’re amazing 😻
For artists just starting out or on a budget, Crayola brand markers come in a lot of great colors, are water based, and mix well with Crayola brand watercolors. Pair that with a good brand of readily available watercolor paper like Strathmore and you can't go wrong.
Bottom of the barrel quality 14 piece marker set at $10 VS Top of the line, high quality 72 piece marker set at $200

I like the rough look and the higher contrast of the cheaper markers on the left. Especially the face looks way better on the left! Shocked!
“And your name is bob.” That got me!! XD
How the crap did you draw that, with felt makers?!
I think ADC is really underrated
🙇♂️
Going to go with the cheap just because they have black 😂
I like the cheap look. It looks more real and more natural...to me at least. I liked the shading on the cheap side more than the expensive markers. You made the cheap ones' look good. Nice.
Love the colour contrast from the cheap markers, but the blending of the fancy pants pens.
Copic ciao are just a lesser version of sketch. They have less ink and have smaller containers making them a cheaper option.
But they're the same thing aside from having slightly less ink. Honestly people are so damn elitist about copic sketch
@@cringebutyee1326 exactly!!
I feel like the left side looks a bit more realistic when it comes to shadows but the right side coat looks like an animated movie
The clothes on the right look great. You can feel them. They have texture. But the face, looks AMAZING on the left.
I think that the best combination is cheap side face and chopic suit. Love your content, it is really entertaining.
00:53 how has the money for those
Jazz a with his complete collection of copics: yeah I know right.
Hey ADC was curious if you could do a Drawing in 10 different styles, for Black Panther. In honor of Chadwick Boseman.i honestly think you'll do one heck of a job with the project.
To be honest I the cheap markers looks much better than the expensive but you we need to know how to color like you cuz you are amazing
I think they'd be greatt starters so when you do get fully into coloring and drawing the expensive ones are an upgrade
great results tho you just have to know how to use them

The bright and vibrant colors of the 10 is awesome but the shading of the expensive markers is nice.. just I like how the cheap one pops more
It’s the artist using the cheap or expensive markets that make the difference . The cheap side looks much better . Great job .
The cheap one is nice than the expensive marker
@Luyema Tlhame yes
Yea I like the contrast
The little parts of nib doesn't come out and stick to the painting on the paper in the expensive one
Yes, and just keep telling yourself your little Kia gets you around just as well as a Mercedes while you cry yourself to sleep at night in your ghetto apartment in between gunshots.
Nah
The cheap ones like better when he asked at the end
For me, the cheap side won. One main issue of the Copics is also, that the colours have these light spots in them. It looks like water drops, which ruined the surface. As far as I know it, from my husband, this is exactly why he doesn't use Copics at all. And in my opinion, 200$ is it not worth.
So chapeaux for your work and how you awoke the cheap markets to life. Really a stunning piece of artwork, again. Thank's for that.
Watching your videos has taught me that sure, the quality of your tools makes a huge difference, but at the end of the day, one’s artistic ability is like 90% of the end product.
The fact that the full set is $1000 yet the $10 set gave you that much potential for that small of a price point is nuts!
I prefer the Copic blazer and the hema face, but you did a brilliant job with both!
Love the satisfying opening. Of the markers.
faaaannntastic vid, man. great piece(es).
True story I used to use the cheap markers when I was younger and yeah from my memory they are crappy
This man is living proof that it’s the skill of the artist and not the tool, tho the tools help
Of course the Copics side looks smoother but I actually like the cheap side. It stands out so much more!! I love it
I love your art work and I especially love the detail you place in your work. My question, when you finish one of these pieces can you do a background? I think it would add a new level both to your comparisons as well as testing the two sets further. Thank you again

Not just because I can’t afford the expensive markers, but it think the cheaper ones are better. I was just think that I need new markers and now I know what to buy :)

I like the cheaper markers. Not because of price, but because I liked the more sketchy texture of it. It wasn’t smooth which is what I love. Great art.
Honestly you did amazing with the blending on the cheap side
For the clothes I prefer the expensive side but for the face I would say the cheap side 💯🌊💯🌊
