I’ve learned to never trust marker caps or colored pencil casing lol. I always have swatches for whatever paper I’m using, especially bc colors look different on different paper. I don’t find that to ever be a downside tbh. The first thing I do when I get a new art supply is swatch it lol
I agree Ohuhu even if you have to test the colors definitely look a lot better especially the skin tones. The mixing , and blended with a paint brush looks amazing as well.
Ah! Man, this video was especially enjoyable for me! There are qualities I liked from each side, so I think if I were to jump into em I'd just as soon pay $105 for 200 markers lol. It actually would be really interesting if you made a video using both brands to create one artwork to see how well they work together.
I have both the Ohuhu and the arteza and I really like both. I put colored swatches on white stickers and wrapped the barrel of both. That way I could actually see the arteza color, because the cloudy barrel makes it hard and know the Ohuhu one if I miss placed the cap.
As someone barely starting to learn art this seems great to me. I can't remotely justify alcohol markers when my attempts look as though drawn by a child. But water markers are far more capable than I will be for a long time, and buying watercolour paper is something I can live with. $65 is a price I can justify for these results, and starting with a more difficult tool to blend will likely teach me faster than taking the easy route. I'd be happy with both but I'm leaning towards the Arteza in this comparison. I don't want to doubt my tools as I learn, the colours work great, and I'd think having an established brand will help a lot when it comes to the new-artist issues I'm certain to face. $25 for that premium seems a fine price to pay. My only wish is for a softer nib, I tend to be very gentle with my tools everywhere.
This is so beautiful I am inspired to compose verses of poetry on this: Thy out of this world artwork never ceases to stun me, Thine style and witty remarks will never surcease to... stun me Ok I failed but this is still awesome
@@ADCArtAttack he is making a poetry in old english of shekspren language or u can say Shakespeare's language (and to make a poem in that language is very hard i appreciate his work )
I enjoyed the video (as always). I actually bought the Ohuhu pack for my 7yo daughter as a birthday present instead of the usual crappy felt tips. She loves them and the colours go down so smooth by comparison. We actually did notice the black-green pen you mentioned the other week. We had a look around through the other pens and found another marker we felt was an actual black (cant remember the number sorry). We weren't using brushes but I will definitely let her know next time. One slight negative, we were using regular paper and these did start tearing it up a bit when going over the top. No worse than regular markers would but I reckon good paper will help.
Yeah these definitely require water colour paper, I was using a SUPER expensive one here, so im not sure how they react on standard papers, but I would move into watercolour paper for best results 🙂
Bro your T-shirt 😳 Also, thanks for all the funnies in the last few episodes. They’re going in the out of context video! I haven’t been feeling so good recently, but going through your videos trying to find funny moments has helped! It should (hopefully) be finished by the end of October!! Love you ADC! Give your pup a cuddle from me!
I think Ohuhu because it blends realllllyyyyyy well and the colors look really good In my opinion Arteza is really good too but for this one the cheap alternative is much better I also like your pineapple shirt
I actually like both sides very much. :) I just won some Arteza water brush markers so I will have to give those a go and see which ones I will like better.
I prefer the Ohuhu side. I feel like it blended sooo much better. Just looking between the two sides, it looks more like a seamless transition between colors, whereas the arteza side seems more blocky to me with the colors
I almost feel the blending of these are better than most alcohol markers and aside from skin tones they look great I wonder what art you could do with both alcohol and water color markers
I think they are both good at their price ranges. Ohuhu had cheaper pen cases, and ran more with water, the Arteza was worth more to me because of the vibrancy alone. I have Everblends arriving today because of those vids done by you as well!
I can't really choose one over the other since I've only worked with the Ohuhu. However I haven't seen them used like this and it's changed my mind of ridding them. As for the blacks and greys, I like the aspect of these colors having a tiny of color to them. Makes them pop. The only time I'd use a neutral grey color is when I'd do a grey-to-colour approach for my work.
I think they both look very similar and I can't choose as far as looks. But the Ohuhu are definitely a great deal and look beautiful, so not cheap crap. Which is great.
I actually like both but bearing in mind that each has its problems with skin tones, I'd go for Ohuhu. As someone mentioned, the price difference isn't that great so, I think that buying both (in case there are colours lacking in one of the sets) would be a good deal.
I like ohuhu blend better but I like the arteza colors better (at least the grays and blues). I have the arteza ones and I’m glad I’m not the only one that found them a bit difficult to push the ink sound with just water!
I prefer the Ohuhu's because they break down with water so much easier than the Twimarkers. I like being able to blend with water/blender to achieve gradations.
Both those OHUHU Markers and the “ARTEZA TwiMarkers” look the same, both being dual tipped. However it’s the single tipped “ARTEZA Real Brush Markers” that re-activate with water and preform more like traditional watercolors. You might have been able to use more similar blending techniques if you compared these OHUHU Markers to the “ARTEZA Real Brush Markers” instead. The Arteza TwiMarkers at $65 for 100 Markers and the Arteza Real Brush Markers at $67 for 96 Markers both have similar price points. If I had to guess Arteza’s logic, and it’d only be a guess, it’d be that they didn’t want a marker with a FINELINER side to be able to wash away and blend like a traditional watercolor paint. I personally think it’s kind of neat Arteza has 2 different water based formulas.
Honestly, I like the Ohuhu markers better. I have their alcohol markers, and I love them, even though I need a scratch price of paper to tell colors lol
Amazing as usual! Can you do Avatar Aang 10 different styles though? I think you could make him look so awesome in DC, DB, and Tim Burton style(my top 3 that I look forward to in those)
The Ohuhu markers are overall the better choice. The price, the richness of colors, the soft nibs, it all calls for a great price comparison ration. However, with the caps, the colors don’t match. The Arteza ones are good too, but picking colors looks so stressful
Hm my Favorite is the Ohuhu Side. But I am a bit partial because I use them by myself xD. I Love them but you are totally right, the color Picking is a Problem. First thing I did is to make colorswatches
OMG you replied!!!!!! 😱😱😱😱 Glad to hear you still have them. I have a bunny and a dog too, and it took a little while for them to understand that they would be flat mates. Now the bunny like to intimidate the dog🤣🤣
Awesome videos, you already sold me on promarkers so I'm invested in alcohol markers, but this was really interesting. I look forward to you comparing other mediums in the future - batman use to compare different inking options perhaps? It had never occurred to me that you could use water to blend water based pens... Perhaps you could do the same for alcohol based markers with a paintbrush and some isopropyl alcohol? Also, I look forward to being in your next video any time you wanna set that up :D
Hope you are all doing well and enjoy today's video!

Hi adc, I love ur videos and aspire to be as good as you at art!
PLEASE do an ohuhu vs copic episode!!!!!! The king of sharp vs the king of expensive.
There is usually a swatch paper in the pack as a place you can use to test the color
I got the same markers just I didn’t get a whole packet thing
I would say ohuhu. Although the price difference isn’t a lot, the ohuhu comes out to be slightly better at blending! Arteza still rocks🤘🏻
I agree because of their blending options
@@nikaart5360 but that black 😶
I’ve personally only used Arteza and I absolutely love them, they work really well. It’s nice to hear about Ohuhu though, would love to check them out

love how you really are honest even when you don't have an affiliate in ohuhu you pick them. thank you

Best Definition Of They Had Us In The First Half Not Gonna Lie
The blacks were crisper on the Arteza side. But I agree the Ohuhu markers turned out cleaner
I really liked the Ohuhu as a whole. The Arteza depth of colors is superior; somehow it didn't translate in the final work.
Literally looks like one complete beautiful colored drawing of cap America
The way to mix and Lighten the skin tones is to scribble markers on some plastic and then use a brush to apply. Thanks for using watercolour paper.
I love acd’s comedy at the start of his videos! Good drawing by the way 🔥

The darks are definitely deeper on the right side and I lean to those being overall better due to that.
The Ohuhus looked smoother, and the skin tone (while at first looked harsh) ended up better than the Arteza.
Pineapple on pizza? NO
The winner, no doubt, is the shirt. Love it.

Love both side, maybe a preference for the Ohuhu's one. Love your t-shirt too!

Can we notice his shirt where a pineapple is "ruining" the pizza?
I like the side with the Ohuhu markers. The skin tones are always tough with cheap markers--the subject always looks really tanned.
Ohuhu for sure, a much smoother look in the saturation overall
I actually like both sides very much. :) I just won some Arteza water brush markers so I will have to give those a go and see which ones I will like better.

A way to get past the guessing of colors is when you buy the markers, make a color chart, and use it as reference for what color each pen actually is.
So good quality production 👍
