I'm not a Muslim but if I was in this podcast I would have played the young lady's witness statement where she stated that her friends were blown away by Apache helicopters firing hellfire missiles indiscriminately and tanks firing turret rounds into kibbutzim which resulted in the deaths of hundreds of innocent people.....any Palestinian freedom fighter would not kill a non combatant because they went into the occupied territory outside Gaza to engage the IDF and defeat them, which they actually did .

first I say since you asked then let me tell you my complete answer:
why would I condemn someone resisting his oppressor and colonizer? the right to resist an occupation is a human right and it is in the international law, if I condemn the Palestinian resistance then also I have to condemn every liberation/resistance movement in the entire human history.
So No I don't condemn the Palestinian resistance and I consider them freedom fighters and encourage every oppressed to resist his oppressor.
then I tell him to read the international law and UN Right of peoples to self-determination/Struggle by all available means.

I basically agree with this. When people are being oppressed and the victims of apartheid, imprisonment, and other crimes, they do have the right to resist their captors.
My only caveat to this is that about half of the people killed were civilians. Innocent people who are not military and not responsible for the imprisonment and injustices that were being perpetrated by the Israeli military.
The innocent people being killed could and should be lamented. This should be condemned.
In scale it pales against the innocent people being slaughtered by the IDF in Gaza right now. I understand this and I as a Canadian Christian will be very quick to condemn all of this. Israel is guilty of war crimes, plain and simple and my Facebook is filled with videos that report this fact.
So why can't Muslims simply say, yes, in terms of the civilian lives that were taken by Hamas (assuming the truth of Israel's claims) of course we condemn these actions.

But if I had to put myself in the shoes of Palestinians I don't know if I would condemn h*ma's. Izraelis for years have publicly celebrated the murders of Palestinians. The idf killed Rachel Corrie by crashing her with a bulldozer, guess what? They celebrate and mock her death by making pancakes every year. Also read about the story of 18 month old baby Ali dawabsheh who was burned as he slept in his crib,the izraeli settlers killed him and celebrated it at a wedding. The opposite is true, the history of Israel's targeted of civilians. The Israel's Hannibal directive "the kidnapping must be stopped by all means, even at the price of striking and harming our own forces." Was put to effect on those early days, on 7th October, by Israel, some of their civilians were caught in the crossfire, there was an apache helicopter shooting at any targets, civilians or otherwise. The scorched earth policy by hellfire missiles is not strange to apartheid Israel, Scorched earth against non-combatants has been banned under the 1977 Geneva Conventions.
I heard there were up to 6 helicopters shooting at everything that moved along with TANKS shooting into HOMES without even knowing who was inside!! How this guy can say this never happened when an Israeli who was THERE said it 100% did is beyond me!! In fact she said up to 80% of those killed were killed by IDF!!! If Hamas wanted all of those ppl dead they had 5-6 hours before IDF arrived to kill every single one of them!! They would’ve also killed all hostages but that’s NOT why they took hostages!! They took hostages in order to get some of the over 7 THOUSAND Palestinian hostages (many women and children) released!!! This guy is in way over his head especially when he immediately says NO ONE was killed by the IDF!!!

The ask to condemn is basically a psychological humiliation ritual. I wont even say that he is doing that on purpose but that is what the creators of this trend are doing. I am going to post something I wrote on another video. I promise the analogy will make sense:
"I've come up with a phrase: 'Condemnation Manipulation': the act of manipulating an individual to condemn themselves or those who are striving on their behalf in order to undermine the overall cause.
For example: interviewing a jew and always asking 'I know the holocaust is bad but do you condemn the Allied forces for killing babies, grandmothers and innocent French people on D-Day June 6 1944? (It is estimated 20,000 french civilians died in that battle mostly through allied bombing)'
If the say 'no' then badger them for condoning killing of civilians. If they say 'yes'. Then equate the allied effort to being evil and have the Jew condemn his saviors. good conversation, i think josh understood in the end, and I would like to see him again. With all the interviews online beginning with 'do you condemn hamas?' often it psychologically affects you to begin the conversation by demanding condemnation from Muslims, or starting the storyline from oct 7, even if a person like josh had good intentions in doing so, however, i think Josh understood that we Muslims would never go about asking for condemnation for christian acts of horror from christians or any people of any other faith as people do with us.
I wouldnt hold it against josh, and would want him to come on again and maybe we can actually bridge gaps rather than presuming one to be supportive of acts of horror by default, in essence this is a prime example how the media brain washes you even if you have good intentions

The question is designed to delegitimise the other by forcing him to an admission of guilt - by way of associating him with a guilty party who has a guilty faith. It’s a strategy that reduces the complexity of a discussion to a bipolar one - a decision between good and evil. It also then should define the parameters of any discussion. If you say “yes “ , then there is no room for qualification or context.
Another sinister sin is to force the” truth “ on to the other. When he accepts the premise, he subscribes to having accepted who is good and who is evil. Therefore, any further discussion means they can be no defence for Hamas and Israel is automatically innocent and graciously given the “escape prison” card.

This cynical attitude is the problem. We believe in the ideal that one is presumed innocent until proven guilty. When one asks this question they presupposes the very thing they are trying to prove, because their orientation is built into their justification or legitimation of that choice and they have no grounding of their said assumptions.

The Israeli tank pulled up in the roàd, stopped, jnew there were hostages inside and shelled the house twice, setting everyone in the house and the house itself on fire. One woman hostage made it outside, but was burnt and singed.

I'm not going to condemn the occupied people for resisting against their occupier until someone can show me that this is not the actual situation between the israeli regime and Palestine. I think it's ridiculous that an occupying force is even being made out to be the victim here when we all know that the israeli regime has made it a legal obligation that all their citizens serve in their military force. All israeli citizens over 18 years old have been militarily trained and all citizens have access to weapons. Ben gvir one of the israeli politicians was giving settlers weapons. Am I supposed to think they are the victims in this? And the place that hamas went in was occupied Palestinian territories where an illegal settlement had been built. According to the UN that is. So, no, I'm not condemning anything until I get proof or evidence that says otherwise.
