Beautiful elegant card! Love the tissue paper technique which just adds that little something. This is a wonderful Holiday card that anyone would love to receive.
Hi, Linda I watch you all of the time not sure how I missed this one. I have kept 'Lovely as a Tree' in my stampin arsenal. I have used it many times, not ready to put it away.
Stunning card, Linda! LOVE the softness of color in the pine trees and I, too, LOVE SPARKLES, so the glitter is “perfect”! Happy Creatin’! Thank you so much! :-))
I loved this card but tried a couple of variations. Firstly, I re-oriented the card so that it was landscape. I inked the edges of the embossed layer with old olive and raised this using craft foam. I cut 2 images for each tree and glued them together before embossing. This made them stronger, but one tree still tore. Maybe worth trying embossing before die-cutting? I also cut an oval for the greeting and mounted it on a larger scalloped oval. I was very happy with the finished card. Thanks Linda for the technique and inspiration, it was an excellent card to make as a 'production line' project! When the 'silly season' is over, I want to adapt this card for other occasions, e.g. sympathy, birthday, by using a variety of stamped images, embossing folders and inks and possibly cutting either square, rectangle or oval window.
Hi Lorna, All sounds like interesting variations. In the end I used a crease pad and shims with one cutting plate to lessen the impact of the pressure of the machine and that worked without fail. Thanks for watching. Linda B.
Linda, your card is just beautiful! I do believe you are the first person I have ever actually seen using the large end of the tombow glue dispenser in a video :-) I use it on occasion and find it interesting that I never see other people using it. So, you changed that today! Thank you for sharing your lovely card!
Hello Number1Aunt, Thank you, I do just love this card. Interesting about the glue I do use it that way when the need is there. Thanks for watching! Linda B.
Stunning card! I’m new to your channel and YOU are a great talent! I look forward to watching all the videos I have missed! Thank you for inspiring me. Jami from Wisconsin!
I so enjoyed watching and listening to this video. You have a very pleasant voice and manner. The card is gorgeous, and I was fascinated by the tissue paper technique. It might help contain some of the glitter so that the person receiving it does not take us off their Christmas list. HaHa. Thanks again.
Very beautiful card! It’s similar to the “used dryer sheet technique”. Just a thought for the embossing folder, maybe use a shim to protect the desired cut.. I can’t wait to try making this card! It’s amazing! Thanks so very much for sharing! ❤️❤️
This card is just stunning and I so appreciate you sharing it with your viewers. I'm going to try to make a similar card, and can hardly wait to break out the glitter! Thank you so much.
Hi Annette, Good suggestion, I haven't tried that. It would all depend on whether your die cutting would flatten out the embossing, but maybe that's a good think. I will give it a try. Thanks for watching. Linda B.
I totally CASED your card! It is absolutely gorgeous! I also signed up as a subscriber to your UA-cam channel. One suggestion: I ran the cardstock through the Seaside folder first and then cut out my trees. It didn't seem to reduce the embossing very much and I didn't have the tearing problem at the top of the tree. I added a line of glue wherever the embossing was raised and added some Dazzling Diamonds to that. Beautiful job, Linda!
Hi Sylvia, Thank you. Good suggestion I have since started eliminating one of the clear plates and use a crease bad to reduce the pressure then added shims plus an additional piece of cardstock in the folder. I finally got the right pressure without the tears. I will try your method as well. Thanks for watching. Linda B.
Yes adding this much glitter is a bit of a problem. You could use two way glue or heat ans stick powder. Sort of whichever way you can get it to stick. Thanks for watching.
Hi S vdw, I tried everything since I made the video I did put a piece of cardstock in the embossing folder, eliminated one of the cutting pads and used a crease pad and a chipboard shim, that seemed to solve the problem. You were definitely on the right track. Thanks for watching! Linda B.
Hi Melcares, Thank you so much for watching while I was away at Onstage in Orlando. I believe you can use the fine glitter I think it would be lovely. Linda B.
This is a stunning card and loved some of the techniques that I've not seen before. Your camera is a little far away from your card, and I would have loved to see the detail of the Softly Falling embossing folder but the image is too far away to see the details. However, enjoyed the video very much, so am going to try to buy that fabulous stamp, Lovely as a Tree, as the trees are so fabulous. Many thanks.
Hi Bev, Thank you! Do you have catalogs? If you don't send me an inquiry with your address and I will send some to you. The embossing folder is great and Lovely as a tree is one of the most versatile stamp sets ever. Thanks for watching
Thanks again. Yes, thank you. I do have your catalogues from a lovely Stampin Up lady here in Australia, so will go through that as you gave the name of the folders used. You have fabulous products. Again thanks for the techniques, especially with the tissue paper. Can't wait to try that one. Will be watching more now that I have found you and subscribed.
Such a pretty card! “Lovely as a tree” HAS to be the all-time best stamp in existence!
This card caught my eye immediately! Thank you for showing how to piece it together! I will look for more of your u-tube videos for sure!
Thanks Frances, I think I have about 600 on my channel.
This is such a beautiful card. I saw something like this done before with used dryer sheets. The tissue is fantastic.
Hi Karla, Yes it is reminiscent of the dryer sheet technique. Thanks so much for watching. Linda B.
Wow! Amazingly beautiful. Thank you for sharing your talent. Going to have to give these techniques a try ❤
Beautiful elegant card! Love the tissue paper technique which just adds that little something. This is a wonderful Holiday card that anyone would love to receive.

Hi Marianne, Dank U. Linda B.
Wonderful card, could it help to put a extra sheet of copy paper between the cardstock and the embossing folder to make a less deep embossing?
Hi S vdw, I tried everything since I made the video I did put a piece of cardstock in the embossing folder, eliminated one of the cutting pads and used a crease pad and a chipboard shim, that seemed to solve the problem. You were definitely on the right track. Thanks for watching! Linda B.
