    Got 3 of these on my Thermalright Frozen Edge 360mm aio and they are pretty good. Thanks for the informative and thorough review my guy, much appreciated.

    Very thorough review. I got three of these fans for my front intake, altough quite noisy around 2000rpm, a very solid fan nevertheless. cools my pc very well

      not sure any fan sounds quiet or good at 2000rpm

    I have a science background so I should be able to understand most of these stuff with enough reflection but there are some things with the graphs that make it a little hard to understand exactly what they mean. I'm gonna make a list of questions below that'll be mostly hassle free for you to answer, and you should be able to decide whether or not the following things I'm personally having problems with do in fact need some improvement in terms of notation or explanation and whatnot:
    About the graph in 1:17:
    1a - This graph and all of the curves within it relate to the specific fan that is covered in this video, correct?
    1b - I initially had no idea what the numbers 1153 1700 2177 etc meant, then I noticed the title of the graph and figured out they were the RPM values. Maybe point that out at the bottom too?
    1c - All the curves are tested with one single fan, correct? So the stuff like '3x120mm' are just there to imply that the particular date above it would pertain to a pc case that would typically be able to accommodate 3 fans, right?
    About the graph in 2:50 and a general suggestion:
    2a - The graph at 2:50 where you mentioned 'margin of error' or something made me think 'what kind of difference IS significant then?' You gotta give me the precision of your measurements. Seeing as you're an engineer, you probably have a good grasp of what random error is in measurements. I dont know the most proper scientific way of figuring out the margin of error for a measurement, I was never given a lesson in statistics, but I dont think we have to go about it in such a formal way. I'd say you should determine the precision of each of your measurement methods separately. You gonna do the test in graph 1:17 ? Take a control fan, take the exact same measurement 20 times, make a q test to rule out outliers, and then use the remaining date to see what the average is and how much the data varies from the average in the worst case scenario. The amount by which the outermost-lier deviates from the average would be the precision of your method. Once you got the precision figured out, you wont have to take as many measurements with every fan that you wanna test. Test each fan 3 times for each data point. Make sure none of the measurements deviate from the average by more than the precision of your method, and if a measurement does deviate too much, you scratch it and do a retest. For some reason I feel like this might correspond to what a Q test is anyway :D Anyway. When you got 3 good measurements for one data point, dont display only the average, display the average AND the margin of error around it. This is how I'd go about doing it. Surely there is a better way but this is what comes to mind first.
    2b - Exactly what kind of air mover did you use in the 'control' tests? A non-commercial special custom apparatus? Is that why you're leaving it with calling it 'control'?
    I wanted to keep writing but my gf sucked the joy out of me

      Haha well you have some valid points but as I am doing this basically unpaid in my free time.
      I just dont have the time to make everything "perfect".
      I'm probably not going to make all the suggestions. I can add some kind of note about what #### are in the first graph as RPM. And a label indicating its all the same fan. because that first graph is just that fan.
      The control is called control because I mathematically blended the A12x25 and the NF-A14. To make a composite fan. a "idealized" fan.

    Since Thermalright is trying to kill all their competitors, they should start with Asetek once their patent expires next year June

    😊 amazing video by the way I'm actually mind-blown I've been looking for fan content like this for years and years I don't care about noise as much as anybody else but I do care about what is the highest performance fan I can get obviously 7,000 RPM is too loud but 3000 RPM to 4,000 RPM isn't that loud

    I see that you have a bunch of newcomers in the top range on the chart from thermalrigh but I don't see those videos on your channel. Did you push this video to release sooner than it was planned? Should I trust the information provided? What price where the tl-c12c-s and tl-s12 when you bought them?       basically yes. I published this ahead of many other fan videos since i thought it was more interesting the my "New Testing" videos.
      I'm slowly working my way thru the fan video backlog that are unreleased.

      It ranks very well among 3000rpm fans. Like the P12Max FDB.

    Why is the P12 Max FDB missing from the charts? It should be a bit better than the TL-B12 Extrem (according to your own recent test), and is cheaper. I just purchased a P12 Max FDB because of your test and had to go back and compare it with the TL to convince myself I didn't make an unwise purchase decision.😅

      this videos charts were made before the one for P12Max FDB was. But i pushed up the p12max video.
