by the watching and if i compare NYC it with Berlin there is more space on the Roads and the Cars are slower and aware of biciclist . If u do this in Berlin you get 5times more honking, ragging and yelling cardrivers.
Wow, that was a great insight, I'm riding in UK, previously Manchester which was gnarlier and now Scotland Edinburgh, it was always 'bothering' me that you guys dont whistle for pedestrians on blind spots like bus stops, or trucks in traffic. In Manchester people were passing thorugh where evrr rhey wanted to, so Matt explained it nicely, also that everyone is aware of cyclists in UK, cars do give shhht about you and pedestrians either, maybe only ahen it comes to public ostracism. I need ro ride in NYC one day! Thanks for that amazing content! Cheers
I agree with the comment on those citi bikes being a waste of space. That setup could park at least 3-4 cars. Philly has very tight streets and they also acquired these bikes.
Interesting hearing about London vs NYC riding... I've only ridden in London a number of times but the infrastructure, quality of the roads and awareness of drivers was really fun. The city I live in (Leeds) is full of holes, nasty traffic and the drivers hate Cyclists... Guess it's maybe just what you're used too.
Weird. I watched this video and the hotline side by side. But the hotline tends to get a little bit faster. It's cool though to hear the commentary over the hotline.
