I rented this car while on a Business trip in San Diego. It was a blast!!!! I have BMW 840ci so I like a lot of torque and power, which this car does not have, but it peppy and fun to drive.
21 miles per gallon in the city, 29 on the highway, as stated at 4:21 of this video. Does anyone know which convertable is the absolute largest being produced in 2020?
By having a 5 cylinder engine you easily avoid car use taxes on 6 cylinder vehicles. The c70 also uses 95 RON fuel, which will cost a bit more, but is made up in performance. substandard fuel may also be used in a pinch. the 12 year rust undercoating is also a bonus for people in cold climates. i love this car.
if you want a hardtob convertable, i recomend the Miata, cuz it gives you full storage space in the trunk whether the hard top is up or down. and its sporty as well, its not as much of a comfy ride, but its fun. if you want a car thats got tons of space and is nice and is basically the same thing as this, try the Camry-Solara. they both have their differences but the solara is more affordable, and also again has more trunk space with the roof down. but this is still a pretty great car.
I'm sure that you all know that the chinese automaker Geely bought Volvo recently. People, don't freak out Volvo will still be made in Sweden and in Belgium and have its own board of directors so it will be Volvo's own thinking. And Geely will only be reciving parts and technologes from Volvo, not the other way around.
Standard features include air conditioning w/dual-zone climate controls, tilt/telescopic leather-wrapped steering wheel w/radio controls, cruise control, 8-way power front seats, memory system, 6-disc CD changer, outside-temperature indicator, and power-retractable hardtop.
looks like a nice car all around. I really fell for the Infinity G37 but its like 10,000 more and I just don't see that much difference. Not crazy about owning another VW so this may fill the bill.
@tahj677 Of course not. Where the hell would you put pop-up bars for the front seats!? The windscreen combined with the pop-up bars create a safety zone around the occupants during a roll-over.
One thing I have troubling finding out about this car is its reliability, I really want one but given that I'm driving an Acura right now I'm not likely to find something more reliable, so anyone had big problems with a Volvo, or a huge success story of no failures?
YAY! Volvo's smaller and Swedish sister is saved! 1/29/10 Spyker bought Saab! Please also consider Saab if you're thinking of a Volvo (I own a Volvo) or if you already own a Volvo get its sister too! Think Swedish style and practicality wit a splash of Dutch crazyness! Yay for Volvo and Saab!
id only get a C30 if i was asured i could turn it over to rear wheel drive. and as far as power a 940Turbo or a 850R could out run this car drove the C30 as soon as it got into showrooms and was largly disapointed after fallowing the consept of the car for two years... its just weak, but i do love the look, needs more power and RWD
Other than the Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster, this is the most desirable convertible for me. Obviously the big difference being that this seats 4 more comfortably than the Lambo seating 2. Plus the Lambo looks much worse with the top up (as if you would ever want to drive it that way). Price is a factor as well, but for the best looking car in the world you should expect to be spending a bit.
where's the actual trunk on that car? where would you put your belongings if there's an engine in the front of the car and the roof goes in the back of the car...
ya i know that but I dont wana drive 2 hours to the dealership to actually buy the car and then if something goes wrong and i need it replaced i dont wana go back to the dealership
fuck infiniti volvo or volkswagen is the way to go for a hard top the only reason i hate infiniti is because they dont have a dealership where i live and the closest one is 2 hours away

Very nice car and you gotta love that it's a hard top convertible with a real glass rear window.......all I can say is WOW

I have the 2013 Volvo c70 t5 with 250 hp .... and it's fucking nice!!!
Nice, you still own it?

this is a very nice car still!
This is a classy car!
@kbb Will the cost of ownership of a 2007 Volvo C70 be lower than a 2004 BMW 3-series Convertible? Or higher?
looks like a nice car all around. I really fell for the Infinity G37 but its like 10,000 more and I just don't see that much difference. Not crazy about owning another VW so this may fill the bill.
@tahj677 no, but the a pillars are reinforced

FoxholeAtheistOIF I'm looking for the same thing. Did you ever find info on their reliability?
So anything new here ?

Oh man, good old times
@Anton4223 Depends. If you were to get a used 2008 then around 24,000 the new one will be around 40. My mum just got one today :)
someone ever notice that the rims of the c70, s80 & xc90 r using the same rims???

What is the price of c70
@lullemans72 There are two compartmens in the back, even with the roof down.
@LeeDrastl you can afford one...a Volvo 240, it's a great car
Are there pop-up bars in all four seats? I really hope so.
You don’t need it, if it flips over the a pillar, which is the metal around the windshield is designed to hold up the car
is that when you turn 16?
HOW MUCH WIL THIS COST IN 2012 ? If It Was Used
5,000 lol
im so getting this :)
Okay Thank You So Much :)

I want it so bad
oh and the C30 dose have a SMALL turbo
@LeeDrastl I know, right .. I could probably buy one, but I could pay the insurance because it's sky high on Volvo's.
I don't think so I just bought the same car and my insurance actually went down to add this car on
The new ones fully loaded 2013 model is 53 thousand dollars so idk

Who doesn't like leather seats? Apart from people who live in Arizona or other hot areas.
AdrianC12345 some people try not to buy leather cause of skinning live animals. Same reason they have faux leather jackets now too
fuck infiniti
volvo or volkswagen is the way to go for a hard top
the only reason i hate infiniti is because they dont have a dealership where i live and the closest one is 2 hours away
lol
...and gay!
