Such a classic beauty. These sorts of watch won't be available in 'Complications' for very long - true Grand Complication style. Way more practical than a perpetual calendar - very easy to reset.
This watch is one of the most complete automatic watches I have ever seen. Everything he has interests me (except the moonlight, which I don't care about). The bad thing about this watch is that only rich people can have it (I saw the prices on Google). I've been looking for automatic watches on aliexpress that have these requirements: hour, minute and second display, days of the week (Monday, Tuesday etc), day of the month (01, 02, etc) and power reserve indicator (reservation of the rope), but I only find those with power reserve that display the hour, minutes, seconds, and day of the month, leaving out the days of the week. There are many that are sold this way.
Unless you're a full-time desk jock, 30m water resistance and an alligator strap make this a decidedly non-daily watch. And even then, as a full-time desk jock you're probably very fat and sweaty which means that the strap will either be too small or will quickly wear out due to degradation from your fatty oils and sweat.
I have the 5146j-001, and I can assure you that the watch looks way more beautiful than any video shows.
Stunning piece. This is the art and craft of watchmaking. Appreciated by the true cognoscente
Always one of my favorite Patek Philippe models. A three-hander with an officer’s case and blued steel hands and indices would be perfect!
