I was the dirty joke teller on the golf course with 2 men I didn't know were traveling evangelists. I suspected something after the first joke I told after a missed short putt.. Fortunately they told me after my first joke. It became my last joke the rest of the round. I was quite ashamed to say the least. It haunted me for the next 35 years. More to this story but it gave me a temporary jolt but this experience didn't change me much until 5 years ago when my eyes were opened. Blessed am I that Christ gave me a long enough life for me to change my thoughts. Sometimes the temptations are still in me but first, I was taught that this behavior was wrong and second I was given Grace to shut my mouth and only speak or think about God's creation when on a beautiful golf course. Thirdly I was gifted with chronic pain enough to not be able to golf anymore and once golf was gone along with enough other activities that my focus of my helplessness changed my thinking about witnessing whenever possible about the forgiveness that is in Christ. I now view my handicaps as such a great blessing which allows me to thank God for my ailments and changed my entire attitude and meaning of life, that we all are great sinners but Jesus hangs in there and grows us to think about heavenly matters rather than earthly matters. I think I've made a mess of this story but I no longer am a mess as I once was.
Dear Alister - You remind me of my old Springburn Baptist Church minister from back the 60's, the Rev Davy Black. He would preach an uncompromising gospel to us BB teenagers of a Sunday morning. I've always remembered him, and to this day, I'm sure his ministry was in part, responsible for my turning over my life to the Lord Jesus on the 13th of January 1980 in Durban South Africa. Thank you for your uncompromising messages.
Hi Allistair, a very good message as always please keep up the good work spreading the word of God. We all need it very much. I was going to say now more than ever. Actually I think during this time, more than ever. The past is gone, now is here.
wonder of wonder but it seems John 3 16 follows I bring you good news of great joy as no other verse can John 3 16 answers the four logical questions why good, the why news, the why great, and the why joy from a strictly literary point of you those eight words are majestically sequenced as is john 3 16 I bring you good news of great joy

So God saved you then... Praise His Holy name.
